At the start of postaljam2, i actually somewhat fully recreated the postal 2 movement in unity, almost 1:1. i had my friend re-draw the HUD in ms paint lol, but i just kinda lost motivation
Full credit for you doing all the programming you did, well done! Debugging in a project like this probably drove you crazy but I think you both did a good job.
I wouldn't touch some parts of the code like the dialogue system unless I absolutely have to, it's such a mess, and when things break I never know why lol
Learning about different array types/containers is helpful in general, especially regarding all aspects of coding in the future. But on the other hand making games is also a process full of hacks and shotcuts, especially game jam projects.
I feel like making the game but in 3D wouldn't be too hard from a programming point of view, it's just that neither me nor buff had experience with 3D modeling (from what I know)
I took a look at it but I haven't played it, it looks cool and like a better version of the P3 Improvement Mod from a few years back. I'm not sure if I could make a whole video out of it, but I'll likely include it if I ever make a 2nd part of the History of POSTAL Mods video

Thanks for joining the jam. It was a great game but man this year was more then we think almost 20 games to rate. we taught we would only get 10.
