I grew up boating in those islands in the 60s, wow there are more boats there now. We sometimes were the only one. Glass dink? Lol😮. Peter..

Old boats require constant work. The cool thing is, after a certain point, you get to work on them in really cool places.
the reality is that all boats, new or old, require constant work if you want them to last.

Happy to announce we too went for a cruise of Desolation Sound during August 2024. Just missed seeing you according to the video log. I used your video Best of Desolation Sound and the Sunshine Coast as a primary guide this summer.
Beautiful cruising grounds. I'd heard about it for many years but you have made it come alive with your videos.

Lady z made me shed a tear. I lost a pet this week. It’s always sad to think of our lost and very dear friends. What a great place to spread their ashes.😢

Lady Z has a very efficient paddle style that only comes with lots and lots of strokes. Exiting a yak and getting back in are as important skills as the paddling part. Rolling practice is also a good idea.
Awesome videos. I just came back from a small Gulf Islands cruise with my "Admiral". It was our first trip and it was glorious! I miss it terribly!
