This just hyped me up, I am looking forward to work abroad too in big tech companies but no idea how it is look like. Lucky me you mentioned your relocation process, gonna watch it to get more idea. Thanks!
Happy to hear that = ) Good luck
I have quite a different experience interviewing with Meta: no help/hints from interviewer, complete silence. I was talking through my solution and not a sound from the interviewer. When I finished with the problem I had to ask twice if they were OK with my solution because there was no response after the 1st time... Super stressful, one of the worst interviews in my career.
Congratulations Andrey! 🎉
Thanks! 😃
Thanks fot this video. Do tou have any recommendations for ios system design preparation? Usually the content out there is more focused on backend
Congrats and thanks for sharing

@@andrey_tech any advice for self taught without cs degree?
@@sirk3v my advice is to not aim for meta or any faang/manga or “big tech” if you have no professional experience. It’s extremely competitive (in the global sense which is mad) and even the job market as of current is not great and its even a-bit of a fight to get a job for lesser well known companies.
You have to be very comfortable with data structures and algorithms (this is stuff you learn by doing a computer science degree), as well as standing out from everyone else who knows this stuff. Once you got some professional experience, it gets easier to understand what/why you do certain things in this role.
For me, Im self taught and worked in the industry for a couple of years and Im only just about ready to start applying to FAANG companies.
Meta isn’t the be all and end all :).
Congratulations Andry 🎉 on the successful journey to Meta. Also, glad to see videos on system design for mobile engineers for the first time. Please continue doing 👍🏻. If possible please share your LinkedIn handle to connect 🙂
Hi, thanks for the comment! 👍I'll upload a few more mobile architecture videos soon! Also, I'll share my LinkediIn profile later, it isn't ready for public visibility on social networks yet
Thank you Andry
What kind of Siri question you got asked?
Thanks for the comment. What do you mean by Siri question?
@@andrey_tech at 2:30 you say kinda "He asked me a siri question". am I wrong?
@@translatingIdeasIntoCoding aaaa got it! theory question 🙃
@@andrey_tech was it about ARC? or memory management?
@@translatingIdeasIntoCoding Yeah, questions like "tell me about memory management in iOS", "tell me about an iOS API that you don't like" etc. You can actually look them up on Glassdoor -> Meta -> Interviews -> iOS Engineer. But anyway these questions are designed just to warm up the interviewee before coding.
Sounds good.
🎉 "promo sm"
Thanks
