Hello George! That was a mistake. The S7 does in-fact have the laser headlights enabled. Jason was thinking of the Matrix LED headlights. Unfortunately those are still against US law so Audi Matrix LED headlights operate like normal LED headlights currently in the US.
Hello, can you compare the noise level with the standard A7 on comfort settings? Can it still cruise around quietly as a standard A7 does for everyday uses?
Can you explain how the mild hybrid feature works ? Does the engine kick in right away when accelerating from a stop ? I understand that when cruising at highway speeds, it also kicks in for up to 45 seconds, how long does it take for the battery to regenerate before it is able to take over again ?
Hello! The emphasis is more on "mild" than on "hybrid" as the vehicle is never under electric propulsion. All it does is allow the engine to shut off for extended periods when the vehicle is either coasting or stopped. The system is tied into the pre-sense radar system so the engine will turn back on when the car in front of you at a stop light takes off. If there is no one in front of you the engine will turn back on when you release the brake pedal. The mild hybrid feature doesn't really reduce lag. However, this vehicle is equipped with an electric turbocharger in addition to the two standard turbos. This electric turbocharger increases the air pressure going into the intercooler which reduces turbo lag.

When the S7 exhaust is not in dynamic mode the sound levels are only slightly higher than the A7.

So are you saying that the new S7’s headlights and tail lights don’t “dance” like the European S7’s when you lock and unlock the car?
The S7 does come standard with animated LED taillights! They look super cool. Didn’t show them in this video but probably should have.
