Number of learners taking mathematics in SA declines

    I heard from a lot of learners that mathematics is difficult subject to learn. I suggest it to be compulsory because we can't survive without subject like mathematics

      Even if it can be made compulsory, students will still fail because the teachers who are teaching it aren't well trained.

    Then we also hear of there being no jobs in South Africa 🙄
    There are plenty of jobs, just in skilled math based industries. Rather go through the torture of math and have your pick of jobs then take the easy way out in high school then come complain later in life.

    I had a bad Mathematics teacher.Only focused on the pupils who understood quickly.My one daughter who is deaf was told she could always give up. Maths.I fdidnt listen .Whenthey went yohigh school we sent.They passed maths My daughter went to U C T and eventually became a maths teacher.At one school she taught at. she was able to explain and help the pupils.When she got to one of the a government teaching preupressureschooshe couldnt. Cope and left.

      I didn't listen and sent them for extra maths lessons.I really helped

    Robotics and Coding the new subjects added to the school curriculum will require maths... Guess those classes will be empty 🙃
