It's trendy in Korea! Rice Paper Cooking

  • korean mandu, Vietnamese pizza and tteokbokki are really yammy! frying rice paper and Korean Fried Seaweed Rolls are good..
    Rice paper chicken is not good😂
    1) Rice paper dumpling (mandu)
    150g tofu
    100g chicken breast
    1/4 carrot
    1/4 onion
    2 fists of leek
    2 eggs
    3 tablespoons starch
    1 tbsp minced garlic
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 Cheongyang Chili Pepper(korean spicy Green chili peppers)
    1. Mash the tofu and chop the carrots and onions into small pieces.
    2. Mix all the ingredients at once
    3. Soak the rice paper in lukewarm water for about 5 seconds and place it on the workbench.
    4. Add dumpling stuffing and roll it up
    5. Put the dumplings(mandu) in a frying pan with oil and roast them over medium heat.
    2) Korean Fried Seaweed Rolls
    100g glass noodle
    3 tablespoons soy sauce
    1 tbsp sesame oil
    2 teaspoons sugar
    4 sheets of laver for gimbap
    1. Put the glass noodle in boiling water and boil for 7 minutes.
    2. After washing in cold water, remove the water.
    3. Add soy sauce, sesame oil and sugar and mix well.
    4. Soak the rice paper in lukewarm water for about 5 seconds and place it on the workbench.
    5. Divide the laver for gimbap into 4 and place it on the rice paper.
    6. Add glass noodle and roll it up
    7. Put the Korean Fried Seaweed Rolls in a frying pan greased with oil and roast over medium heat.
    3) Kimbu-gak, frying rice paper
    1. sheet of laver for gimbap + 2 sheets of rice paper
    2.Attach the rice paper soaked in water for 5 seconds to the laver for gimbap
    3.Dry the seaweed and rice paper until completely dry.
    4.Cut into quarters with scissors and fry in oil in a preheated frying pan.
    5.If it swells up, take it out immediately to drain the oil.
    4) Rosé Rice Paper Tteokbokki
    Rice paper, 3 pieces of fish cakes, a little cabbage
    2 tablespoons red pepper paste
    3 tablespoons soy sauce
    3 tbspkorean red pepper powder
    3 tablespoons sugar
    1 tbsp ketchup
    100ml of water
    200ml milk
    100ml fresh cream
    1. Soak the rice paper in lukewarm water for 5 seconds and place it on the workbench.
    2. Lay 3 rice papers on top of each other and roll them tightly.
    3. After 2 minutes, when the shape is completely fixed, cut it with scissors.
    4. Bring the seasoning sauce to a boil, then add milk and whipped cream to it and bring to a boil.
    5. Add rice cake and fish cake cabbage and boil until slightly thickened.
    I will eat it with dumplings and seaweed rolls, so I made tteokbokki with a lot of soup.
    5) Rice Paper Pizza
    leek 2 tsp
    1 tsp dried shrimp
    half an egg
    sweet corn 2 tsp
    some garlic fries
    Sriracha Sauce
    1. Put the rice paper on the frying pan and spread the leek, shrimp and egg sweet corn on it.
    2. Sprinkle with chili sauce or srira cha sauce and fold in half when the eggs are all cooked.
    6). Rice Paper Chicken
    It doesn't taste good!! Chicken is too dry
    1. Cut the chicken breast into bite-size pieces.
    2. Soak the rice paper in lukewarm water for about 5 seconds, then put it on the workbench and roll up the chicken breast.
    3. Put it on a plate for about 5 minutes to dry the rice paper and spray oil.
    4. Put it in the air fryer preheated to 200 degrees and bake for 4 minutes at 180 degrees, flipping it over for 4 minutes.
    5. Complete with chili sauce

    3:17 의 접시 위 검은 물체는 파리가 아니고 김 조각입니다. 영상 제작 시에 김을 사용하는 요리를 먼저 했는데, 그 과정에서 들어간것 같습니다..ㅠ_ㅠ)

    저는 전업주부입니다.
    제가 오늘 김 5장으로 김말이 20개를 만들었어요.
    당면을 조금 더 하고 양념도 조금 더 추가했습니다.
    튀긴 후에 먹어봐도 간이 딱 맞습니다.
    바삭바삭, 쫄릿쫄깃 아주 맛있습니다.
    평소 당면과 잡채를 좋아하는데, 덕분에 맛있는 메뉴 하나 배웠습니다. 감사합니다.

    I worked in a Vietnamese restaurant, we used coconut soda so that when it is fried it becomes more crispy and golden due to the sugar it contains. you make your roll and you put it for a little soda and you fry it

    Vietnamese rice paper is an essential ingredient in Vietnamese cuisine. The first dish that you presented is same as Vietnamese Spring Roll (Aka Chả Giò). I'm glad it's widely popular in Korea now ☺️

    Thank you so much for sharing this recipe especially in English I humbly appreciate it I'm trying to change my eating habits I never ate much meat however I love Asian cuisine because of all of the stir-fried vegetables and how you prepare the food so healthy I absolutely love it I recently learned how to make being pasted so that way I can have a slightly sweet with still healthy dessert which I prefer the Koshi-An however I'm definitely going to be trying this I'm going to the Asian market tomorrow morning which is at my local Walmart shopping plaza I'm so looking forward to preparing this dish again thank you so much for sharing and I look forward to more of your recipes Continue To Stay Safe Healthy Strong and Happy Many Blessings and Much Love-n-Peace 💜☮️💯😇🙏🏾💙☯️🛐❣️

      I just discovered from a friend that you can roast the rice paper over your stove top for a little bit to bring out the brown bubbles. It tastes quite good. It's like a chip.

    라이스페이퍼 김부각 종종해먹었는데 정말 시판과자 못지않게 맛있어요!
    문제는 기름에 넣으면 동그랗게 말리게 되는데 안으로 말려서 라이스페이퍼가 잘튀겨지지 않은부분은 상당히 딱딱해요ㅠㅠ 드실때 주의하셔야합니다. 아니면 기름을 좀 더 여유있게 잡으셔서 전부다 퐁당 잠기게 튀겨내던가요. 딱딱한부분 잘못먹었다가 피볼뻔했네요ㅎ

      This is vietnamese food. w some korean touches. Koreans borrow ALOT from other cultures, their native cuisine isn't like this. If you like these dishes, you really need to try Vietnamese food, it's the bomb. I'm not Vietnamese.

      ​@@jrmint2 Yes, I also like Vietnamese cuisine ... Well, not everything, fertilized eggs and some other dishes don't like me nothing at all. And Korean cuisine, like the rest of national gastronomy, is influenced by a multitude of other cuisines, especially from the closest countries. The entire Asian area of China, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, ... share some very similar dishes with some variations. The same happens in other countries and continents. More now with globalization ... So we can taste delicious dishes from other places. 💖

    I’m Vietnamese Australian and I remember seeing rice paper in kdramas of the late 2000s. And now it’s really become a real trend in Korean media. I don’t see it dying anytime soon either. 😊

    Hmmm... I am thinking the rice paper chicken miggt be nice if it was dipped in sour cream and chillie sauce. May be a great way to use up left over bbq chicken, maybe with some sweet potato wedges.

    My rice paper rolls always stick to the frying pan and it ends up falling apart. I wonder if I need more oil or higher heat or just to wrap it in more rice paper? I don't know.

    You should put it as the original Vietnamese name. Cannot just take it as a new trend. It's culture and you have to respect where did you take this recipe from.

    Goi con is spring/summer rolls because of the fresh veggies.
    Cha gio is egg rolls because it's fried and crispy.

    Rice paper, rice noodle, and Phở are came from rice, and much more dishes such as sticky rice. Our ancestor is Thần Nông, that's why.

    다른스프보다 라페는 신라*스프가 낫더라구요... 그래서 못해먹었어요 ㅋ 신라 안좋아해서....
    떡볶이 만들어봐야겠어요 궁금해지네요^^

    Tips: up to the kind of rice paper but you shouldn’t put it into water because it will be very wet and easy to be broken. Just apply a little water on the rice paper to make it softer and start rolling, it’s okey.

    Look delicious but WHY everything have to be fried and swim in cooking oil?? Fried food is not healthy. Would you consider steaming or oven baking some of them? It would be nice to see alternative cooking methods.

    For the 1st recipe, you should make less the filling or use 2 rice papers to prevent it from breaking while frying.

    방금 떡볶이 만들었는데요
    제입맛에 딱이였어요
    떡은 너무 쫄깃한데
    저는 미끈거림을 좋아해서
    종이호일깔고
    많이 만들어서
    띄엄띄엄 냉장고에 넣어뒀어요
    맞아요 라이스페퍼 냄새때문에 쌈은 좀 거북할때가 있었는데
    떡볶이 굳👍

    I can't be certain but the likely reason why the rice paper 떡볶이 is so chewy is because most of the Korean brands have tapioca (not all rice).
