OUR FIRST Indiana RV Camping | Shakamak State Park

- This week we finish up our RV Camping trip to Indiana and Shakamak State Park! We meet up with friends from Ohio Dave and Andrea from the TH-cam Channel Following the Fitch's. / followingthefitchs
While there we explored the Shakamak State park trails and did quite a bit of hiking. Also returned to Hutsonville and explored places from my parents home towns.
We also took a little trip to Merom Bluff a place where in elementary school we had an overnight field trip!
Finally we took a couple hour trip south to Evansville to meet up with my oldest best friend of my lifetime, David and his wife for some dinner and drinks!
Our first RV camping in Indiana was awesome and look forward to going back and exploring other Indiana state parks in the future!

You just made this ‘Mich-Iana’ guy home sick. Great shots of the forest and lands. It’s always awesome to go Home and visit, so glad you had that opportunity. Ive done that a few times in recent years, and some things never change.
Haha I’m homesick too again already lol. The old saying you can take that boy out of the country but you can’t take the country out of the boy.
@@AlliChuckAdventures Me too. I havent been home since my Mom passed. My Pa moved back to Indiana, so my childhood home is sold. But Michigan still calls as well. As far as the Tenderloin Sammies go…..OMGOSH!!! Nothing like the real deal in Indy!

Thanks! Was a great park and tons of Rv sites. Half of them were closed off for winter so imagine summers are quite busy!
You can't go wrong when you get to go Fitchin' at Shakamak! Looks like you had a blast. PS. I just had a crown put on today. lol. Dog and Suds reminds me of a place you would find on Rt. 66.

Those are most likely full hook up sites and they shut off the water in the off season and block off most of the sites from online booking in Winter. It's stupid but that's what most state parks up North do. Should have went up to prophetstown state park in Lafayette Indiana- their full hook up sites are on all Winter!
