They had each others heart, the problem was the rape story line totally destroyed maybe one of the greatest love stories in soaps. We lost them for a few years then got them back to only see Em die. Hated the time they were apart you could see the love every time they looked at each other even when with other people. Em still has Nikolas heart even in death.

When Zander kisses emily’s face in the beginning you can see she’s fighting her feelings for Nik.
