@russellweber4334 they are not the prettiest guns but if you want to put lead downrange and have the gun go bang everytime they are the tool for the job
If you're being attacked by a wild animal or human the Taurus is still putting a 10mm round in them for ½ price. Ammo ain't cheap so saving $400 means some range time. Cool video 👍
I'm sure Taurus will come out with a TORO. If I'm not mistaken it took a bit longer for the GX4 TORO version as well. I did contact them, and a 10 round version is in the works. So it is a work in process.
Chuke, you had some issues with inadvertently dropping the magazine out of the Taurus in previous vids. I take it you were able to practice that issue away?
I had that same issue with a G3C and I solved it by installing an inexpensive Hogue rubber grip. It made the grip slightly thicker so that the base of my thumb would not inadvertently activate the mag release.
I would like to have seen some actual target shooting and then give your impression on which one is easier to shoot accurately. Most guns produced now are accurate, but some take practice to get used to (glocks for me), and others are just natural pointers (Sigs and Taurus for me). It would be nice to know to which is better from that point...
As for the Taurus finish. Rub some Sno seal into it, warm it ( hair dryer) and thourally wipe off the excess while its still warm. Couple strips of skateboard tape on the front end of the slide works well too for those of us who like a front grab rack. I dremel polished the feed ramp & chamber too. Smoother is always better.
Im waiting to get the xten comp when/if they release a legion version. I only wish that it was hammer fired. But it is a sexy thing, nonetheless, and I've heard only good things about it.
Ive always been anti Taurus. I took a gamble on a Rossi RP63 (not technically Taurus), its not bad for the price and its been flawless through about 800 rounds. That lead me to buy a Taurus 856 and thats been perfect. I've been really tempted to pick up a TH45.
When are the gun manufacturers going to manufacture the barrels to the test barrel lengths so you get the optimum or when are the ammunition companies going to manufacture ammunition for short barrels
Companies already offer extended barrels and longslide pistols. Likewise, there is plenty of ammo designed for use in short barrels. Either way, Underwood/Buffalo Bore/Double Tap ammo will deliver more than enough power out of these barrel lengths. Lack of velocity or energy will not be a problem.
Can’t go wrong with Sig is all I’m saying. Some people don’t understand why it’s more expensive. The fact that it’s striker fired trigger feels better than the hammer from this TH10 should tell you a lot!
I've heard of some troubles with xten sig has had other problems recently so if we compare the sig p322 that has a factory defect of lead fouling the barrel after a few rounds against the Taurus tx22 Taurus wins and is it the p320? that goes off by itself the full size Taurus g3 run almost flawless so does the g2c and g3c and gx4 so I would choose 2 th10s
I dont own any sigs, but its comical constantly seeing the decade old "p320 goes off by itself". They won the contract and are being actively fielded with the us military over glock. The gun fires when the trigger is pulled. Period. When sig is compared to glocks people say they love the ergos and trigger but will stick with glock since they are cheaper and "reliable". Now compare with Taurus and they stick with taurus because they are cheaper and "mostly" reliable. I have glocks and love them, but its hilarious to see the shifting goal posts on the sig
Out of all the 10mms I have (Glock 20, 29, 40, M&P, XDM, Hi-point and Sig X-ten) I hate the Sig the most, the mags don't work and Sig won't fix them and it's front heavy, the trigger is great and the ergonomics is good. I have a TH9 and it's a great gun so I think the 10 will be just as good.
The Taurus TH10 should be a beefed up version of the TH40 which is a really handy nice shooting .40 s&w. I would imagine the TH9 is a good gun. The TH40 is more ergonomic than a Glock 20 or 29 in my hands, but your hands can adapt to shoot a Glock well.
Hi Chuke, I am interested in purchasing a HK 45 USP. I examined one out at the gun store. The hand gun felt like an extension of my arm. This gun has a lot of positives going for it. Except that the trigger feel is gritty. I had heard that these pistols are not accurate. Is that claim fact or not? They also had the HK 46 in 23 SOCOM. It was dismantled due to it being illegan in Illonise. Due to the threaded barrel. Fortunately the upper was separated from the lower. So I could still get a good enough feel for pistol. The loved the feel of this brands design. Less the gritty trigger feel.
The USP40 is a better pistol. It holds more rounds and hits harder, and you can easily convert it to .357 SIG with just a barrel swap. Some people have even converted them to 10mm.
Which “compact” 10mm do you prefer? I have the 4.6” S&W that after much fiddling, finally runs correct. Springer Precision HD mag springs resolved the feeding issues completely. It is just a little too big and heavy to conceal. I am thinking the XDM Elite compact. Is there something out there that you like better in the compact 10mm world?
The xdm is great, I have one. The recoil takes some getting used to but it's surprisingly accurate for the barrel length. And I haven't had any malfunctions so far after about 600 rds. I highly recommend grip tape for it tho. It helped me a lot.
I am leaning towards the Smith myself. I fired a rental S&W and fell in love. Felt so good in my hand. So far, all the rest feel weird and do not fit my hand. I go by the hand test. If I don't get a solid, confident grip at the gunstore, I won't buy it.
I also have the M&P 2.0 with 4.6” barrel. It’s been very good to me after a year, no mis-feeds, but I’ve not shot 220 through it. 200 or 180 no problem. But I also haven’t tried shooting super rapid fire. Were you having issues in specific conditions? Thanks
@@anthonyb2334I was having the stove piped round pinched between the barrel and slide issue. It was happening at least 2 times per magazine. The stronger magazine springs completely resolved the issue. My gun was early production. I have since purchased some additional S&W magazines and they appear to have longer and thicker springs. I swapped Springer Precision springs into those magazines as well, just to be sure. No more cycling issues for me. The issue was worse with more powerful loads.
@@dimassalazar906I like the feel of the S&W. I am looking to add a 10mm with a shorter grip that doesn’t print as bad when concealing IWB. I am thinking Glock 29 or XDM. The xdm feels better in my hand and seems slightly thinner.
1/2 the price, better ergonomics, lifetime warranty. It's a no brainer. Why pay for a name and accessories you don't need? Do you really need a Red Dot on a 10mm? I'm rich but not because I'd throw away 500$.
Couldn't wait to go hiking this weekend. used a hill people's chest rig. carried that compact Gen 5 10mm in the rig. had and extra 10 round mag. the gun uses all other 10mm mags. I put about 200 rounds in it so far. I rapid fired 10 mags. no hick ups at all.
Overall, I’d take the Sig X-ten Compact over the Taurus because of the quality. I’m a firm believer in you get what you paid for, but if I was on a budget, then the Taurus would be ideal. None of the SIGs have gone off without the trigger being pulled either. None of the lawsuits have ever replicated that, and they've certainly tried. People were just being dumb and using incorrect holsters(or none at all) or letting debris/their fingers touch the trigger. The gun is safe. Militaries and law enforcement agencies wouldn't have bought them in vast numbers if they weren't.
**Well looks like the first company to put out a 6-inch is going to give a Glock 40 some serious competition. **Sig looks like it's got ambidextrous controls too?
@@joshklaver47 for sure brother that’s why I’m a Taurus fan. I have a 709 3GC and a TH9 and none have given me any trouble. But the quality compared to my 220 just isn’t there. That being said I love my Taurus.
Don't understand why some striker fired guns are so thick ? 1911's are thin, but they are all steel. If the gun has a beefed up thicker barrel, then why would they need to make slide thicker. I wish they would make the Sig thinner with a lower bore axis and a shorter handle with the option to use longer , more capacity mags with sleeves. These engineers for these gun companies should know by now what the knowledgeable gun customer wants. We want a 10mm that could be used for home defense, concealed carry, or a woods gun for big animals to defend against. You said it had a rifled barrel, name one modern handgun that does not have a rifled barrel, have you been freeze dried or doing hard time? regardless of the price, I'll pick the Taurus everytime, and I've been doing this for 58 years, It's a self defence pistol, not a competition or a target pistol, yes I like Taurus firearms and Wilson Combat semi-auto pistols, and H&K VP9s, as a deputy sheriff in the early 80s My duty and EDC was and Is the 357-Magnum. 🇺🇸
Why would you buy 2 pcs of possible junk…….for bookends when Taurus does’nt go good for their WARANTY? They have been known to NOT stand by their waranty in the past! And like you said the Sig, and for that matter, the Springfield 10mm are better quality and they stand by their products!
0 seconds ago I wouldn't take a Taurus even if it was given to me. I had one go click ,click, bang due to a broken part inside. No way would I ever trust aTaurus as a EDC
I know that the answer is, to each their own. But, how much of a discount does a striker Sig need, before it changes from a good deal for a Sig, to a good deal. Every choice doesn't have to be about cheap, but I don't know if stricker Sigs are bulletproof, and it's not so easy for me personally, to be an all in fan. Just conversation.
Taurus th series is one of the most underrated firearm today. The th 10 is an unbelievable value

People refer the non-polygonal pistol barrels and rifled barrels
The arrogance in your comment is disconcerting...we're you this bad as a LEO?
So you've been bought by Taurus.
Doh!
Why would you buy 2 pcs of possible junk…….for bookends when Taurus does’nt go good for their WARANTY? They have been known to NOT stand by their waranty in the past! And like you said the Sig, and for that matter, the Springfield 10mm are better quality and they stand by their products!

I wouldn't take a Taurus even if it was given to me.
The Sig X 10 has magazine problems and feels like you are holding a fat salami. You mustn't have seen a Taurus in the past 10 years.
And what model Taurus handgun was this? I have several Taurus handguns that shoot any ammo run thru them, no problem, nothing has broken inside.
You shouldn't have to buy special ammo they're supposed to work with ball ammunition, using wrong bullet weights wrong design bullets
Edward G. Learn to shoot. NOBODY needs an optic on a self defense weapon. Any real threat will be close enough to hit w a rock 99% of the time.
Dude stop showing off your Taurus. It is worse than showing off a HiPoint. You are just embarrassing yourself homeboy
Lame
I’d take the Taurus over that slab sig
Your comment is embarrassing, the gun serves a purpose unlike your weak comment.
How high were you posting this rubbish?
