I just bought a 2023 Leaf & love it! Great vehicle for the price!

I have a 2024 Leaf.... so 23 was NOT the last model year. PS, I love it, so why is it "infamous"? And from 23, there are only TWO trim levels, so no such thing as "mid level". S and SV Plus and that's it.

Great review! Would love to have seen a listing showing the top model 2022 SL Plus features that did and didn't make it into the 2023 SV Plus and side-by-side photos of the visual differences.

Likely 1 more Model year coming for Leaf

It seemed odd to redesign for only 1 year. Any word on the new SUV/Crossover Leaf?

@RetroDawn 2025..but guessing it's 2026 given how late Ariya is to market. It's to Nissan's advantage to habe 2 EVs offered, with one more value priced. Especially since Leaf still gets 7500 tax credit.

Not the last model year. These guys made that up. Nissan has consistently said mid decade end. 24 or 25.

I love my gen1.2 and was looking forward to its replacement in 2024/25 but if its replacement is smaller? the Leaf is a perfect size for us then no, I will buy the BYD atto3 gen2

Thanks for the comment! From what I have heard, the next generation LEAF is actually going to be turned into an SUV/Crossover, so it might a little larger, but more than likely smaller than the new Ariya - Brandan

Gen 1.2 is 2014/2015? Have seen others call 2012 or maybe 2013 Gen 2.

We had the 60 mile MK1 Leaf Tekna back in 2014 and loved it (apart from the range) but wasn’t impressed with the second version which was the original car with another top bolted onto it. I feel Nissan have lost their way by not increasing the range or features which are a bit clunky for 2023, pity as now the Chinese will soon be eating their lunch

Why you want leather or leatherette? Can you explain that?

I was happy that they didn't include either!

Why so slow if it has 214hp and 236 pf of torque? That’s ridiculous. If you can’t keep up with a Bolt, that’s bad.

The LEAF is slightly longer, wider and heavier than the Bolt EV, so that might impact the acceleration/performance difference. I’m honestly surprised at the difference in acceleration between the two, especially with their figures being so similar 😅 - Brandan

The performance difference is neither here nor there.
