Just got mine earlier today, after having my phone for almost 2 years now. So happy to finally have one! I've used this kind of case with previous versions of the iPhone and love it so much! And so far, I have been told people can hear me when I call on the phone. Yay!
I've always paid the money on this type of fully enclosed Lifeproof/Otterbox branded case to keep my phones in good condition and I have probably spent as much on replacement cases for Iphones 4, 7 and 14 over the years as I did on the initial purchase price of the phones themselves. What I've found with the Otterbox FRE case for Iphone 14 Pro is that the Screen protector and Camera Lens protector gets scratched up pretty quick. I don't think I am in a harsh environment, and the phone pretty much gets put in front pocket of my pants (usually separate from keys, coins and other scratchy things). I can live with getting scratches on the screen protector over time, but the ones on the camera lens section gradually affect the camera focus, and your photo/video quality then becomes rubbish. I bought 3 new Otterbox FRE cases when I got my new Iphone 14 Pro (couldn't stand the thought of not having any protection), and within a month my photo and video quality started to deteriorate. I spent some time thinking the problem was with the phone, but as soon as I took the cover off then the photo/video quality was perfect again. Fitted a new Otterbox FRE case (at $140-150NZ) and all good again, but now after 4 months I'm about to fit my 3rd new case, so this starts to get a bit expensive. Feeling trapped between wanting to protect the initial investment of the phone and begrudging having to repeatedly part with this kind of money to do so. Has anybody else had similar experiences with these cases, a fix, or even a more affordable viable alternative to this brand of case? Thanks
Great video. I was just wondering, how strong is the front screen and camera lense cover? How high can you drop the phone from in regards to impact protection? Thanks!
@@alexandernapier14 I already received mine, I like the wrap around cover, but I thought that the cell phone goes a little tight in the cover, and that it will scratch the chrome around it. Or put it inside the cover, I have to exert a little force, it doesn't go in as if it were something normal, and the parts inside are plastic and very hard. I don't know, but I think I'll return it to amazon :s!
I installed my cell phone inside the case with the protective film. I thought the front of the case should be something more robust. Did you think so?! What iphone 13 or 14 did you buy it for?
Did you totally recommend this case? I only use Quad Lock and I like it but isn’t waterproof and I prefer waterproof because is always inside the case and never get dirty or I don’t have to worry to get wet.
No, it won’t work with a temper glass screen protector. I tried to leave mine on and when I closed the case up it made typing impossible. Took it off and so far it’s working fine. There are some spots that seem to not sit flushed but it’s not in the area that affects typing so I really don’t care. I hate that it makes the phone so much wider but you get used to it.
I like this case the only thing I've noticing vs older versions of the case is some flexing on the sides but I think that might be due to the magsafe connection which wasn't there on the 12 pro max version.
I just bought one the other day and the screen protector is great. I haven’t noticed gaps or bubbles and my phone responds as usual to touch even with an added glass protector!
Any screen sensitivity issues? My 13 Pro Max had a good gap between the screen and protector which meant using the screen never worked. Had LifeProof replace the case twice with no fix
The phone is water resistant up to 5 feet let alone the case. What do you want him to do throw it in a lake? He’s just showing no water got inside the case.
Take a picture using the flash? Does it come out good?? These camera covers can’t possible work good with a flash? The light would bounce back no??? I want to look into getting this case, but I can’t seem to get an answer on this. I’ve been looking all over the web. Nobody ever takes the photo with the flash.
Maybe somebody can help me out. If always had LifeProof cases but when I got my 14 pro, it wasn’t yet available. I got an off brand copycat from Amazon. I’ve been super impressed, I work construction and wash my phone. I also bring it in the shower and watch TH-cam. It works just as well and figured I did good. Until I realized people can’t really hear me well and now I only speak on the phone using my AirPod pros. So my question is how are actual phone calls with this case? Do people hear you? Thank you in advance if you reply.
Definite no with the camera protector but a maybe for the screen protector. The tempered glass ones tend to be thicker, so it probably wouldn't work with either.
ima be straight up, ive gotten like 2 of these things and my turnable dial doesnt work properly im sitting there turning it for like 142 times before it works after destroying my finger nails
I don’t like that otter box bought life proof and it seems with every iteration it produces poor audio quality that seem to never improve lol anyway not much to choose from for complete dust proof waterproof cases so can’t be choosers right also nooiice video especially when the reviewer is hot ;) lol
Overpriced , when lifeproof was selling them they were much cheaper and better quality . Adding the magnet strips doesn’t justify the price tag in my opinion. Also after having this case for a little while now the camera protection cracks from the pressure against the lens protector

You could buy individual lens protection
Yep I would buy a screen foil for the camera section they are cheap and when scratched just replace it so the case protection doesn't get scratched
@@dorfkind9825whats a screen foil and where would you get one for the camera area?
The case seems to distort the sound a fair bit. The sound seems to be coming out from the back rather that the base near the charging socket
Great video. I was just wondering, how strong is the front screen and camera lense cover? How high can you drop the phone from in regards to impact protection? Thanks!
I'm been in love with lifeproof case since my iPhone 4 days
Have they improved since then? I remember they were hard for other people to hear us on the other end
@@tretre1692 I had them for my Samsung's up to my s10( until they stopped supporting Samsung devices. They worked wonderful for me
I actually do have this case but in the green color and I totally agree, I love this case.
Can i put lanyard these case ?
@@diogoabreu3606 Yeah there is a spot by the bottom left speaker
How’s the screen protector?? Does it ever do that bubbly thing? Do you have another tempered glass on the phone itself?

When using this case, can we attach an DJI mic to the charging port?
Will it still fit with a screen protector on?
Can I put on a screen protector before putting on this case?

Which you will prefer more? The life proof fre or otterbox pro xt.
Have you noticed the camera cover on your Fre’ scratching up at all. I’m tempted to buy this but am curious on the durability
How about how to get it off too maybe?!
Otter box should make a belt clip for this
You still living in the early 2000s? Lol
Gonna buy this for the entire life of my pro max
2:52 How well does the integrated screen protector work? Does it make full contact? Bubbles? Gaps?
I just bought one the other day and the screen protector is great. I haven’t noticed gaps or bubbles and my phone responds as usual to touch even with an added glass protector!
Does it affect clarity screen
Do calls echo with this type of case?
so this model is not "rubberized"?
hello thankyou for your video i was wondering why my has a gap and i have to press so hard on the screen ?
Any screen sensitivity issues? My 13 Pro Max had a good gap between the screen and protector which meant using the screen never worked. Had LifeProof replace the case twice with no fix
Same here
If there’s a gap, add a thin screen protector. Then throw it in the case. Should solve your issue
Love lifeproofs too but i always had the red and thats not a thing anymore
Dose this case work with the otterbox folio?
The smart met move would have been to get a larger container to fully submerge the phone, but I am just an average guy with common sense
The phone is water resistant up to 5 feet let alone the case. What do you want him to do throw it in a lake? He’s just showing no water got inside the case.
Only thing sucks about the case is when you try to watch a video and the quality sounds low on it when case is on
I like it but I Dont know how to take it off to clean my screen
is there a hole for putting on a strap at the bottom of the case?
I would love see it on purple color since I can't find any review in purple color.TIA
Can you pop out the screen protector in this case?
It would no longer be dirt, dust, water and snow proof. The iPhone is completely sealed in the case.

I’ve owned these cases for years and swear by them!!! I use flash a lot when taking photos and it doesn’t affect the quality that I noticed 😮

Typically this is an issue with waterproof cases just cause it always blocks the mic
What if one has already a tempered glass on the screen and camera lens protectors at the back? Will that case still fit the 14 ProMax?
Ofc not
Definite no with the camera protector but a maybe for the screen protector. The tempered glass ones tend to be thicker, so it probably wouldn't work with either.
It works with a screen protector on the front screen but I don’t have back lenses protector on the camera screens.

On the website all I see is negative reviews I’ve only ever owned the fre for all previous phones is it still as dependable?
I am in the same predicament
You guys pick it up?
Wish they made it for the s23 ultra
Can i put lanyard these case ??
Yea
Has only using MagSafe charging affected your iPhones battery health?
Why would it?
@@Jacaerys1 I’ve been told over heating can damage the battery over time.
I have the same case. I had to take tje shitty screen protector off cause even with the volume maxed out. I can’t hear anyone
