@@massfreak1use a grade rod to calculate the difference between every 200 feet off survey stakes then raise each pipe up a 5 hundredths or so untill you can run straight to grade of the next stake there’s no reason to send a pipe home uneven cuz your grade is too high. Bigger pipe is higher risk to roll a gasket due to it being uneven.
Question. What do you charge per foot to install a 4" water line? If the customer provides material and you trench and install the line. I'm in Texas and I'm trying to compare pricing.

I wish it was this simple at my job. We have to put mega lugs and restraints on the pipes plus paint up the mega lugs and restraints with black dragon AKA liquid death
Seems like they don’t know what a pipe bar is that operator could be going other things while they use a bar it ain’t that hard unless your homing up a 45 in a tight hole

5:25 if my boss seen me just wiping the dirt off with my hands instead of using a rag and water he’d be tripping out😂
Push with the bar. That's a real pipelayer.
No it isn’t
@jeff7764 yes it is
@@thekeegan985 nope
Absolutely use a bar. Pushing with the excavator to much risk. If your pipe isn’t straight you can roll the gasket inside

Do yall not shoot the ground for grade before laying the pipe and why not shove it home with a bar I do it all the time even on 12 inch main
Does this job have any weight requirements for the staff?

Yeah I would have the pipe laying on the side for them while I be backfilling behind them 😮
Much more efficient to lay the pipe as ur digging
also less risk of trench collapsing if u do it your way which is good
30000000000 percent agree with you. this is like leak city right here
How is this way done? The pipe on top and you dig under it ?
Very interesting approach
You could use a bar quicker than these idiots
I wonder where is a rubber when there are using machine to push the pipe instead of using the bar
