    Wow I cannot believe this.... this hotel holds a special place in my heart. My mom and I took our first-ever mother son trip to this hotel. To this day my mother still talks about the coffee and toasted croissants we ate every morning while staying here lol.. fun times. Sad to see it go but such is life.

      2017 an electrical fire did damage and after that more damage from Hurricane Irma in 2017. It was abandoned after that.

      Nope - Building 7 was an uncontrolled collapse after one entire side of the building was ripped out by WTC 1 tower collapse (which also didn’t fall in its “own footprint”).

    It's so Sad that they Demolished this building where the beatles played from the 1950's I thought historic buildings were restored & preserved I'm disgusted it's gone those rooms could of Easily be transformed into condos or flats talk about wasting more money & building supplies etc America seem to like wasting money & land there's so many abandoned homes buildings etc in America compared to the UK, it's such a waste of money & land all they had to do is take down a part of the building they need to stop wasting money & land & renovate reuse & recycle all the abandoned places they've left to Rot the same goes with the uk we're supposed to not make this world worse by making more mess & recycle what is there I'm from the UK how many more homes etc are they going to leave to Rot when there's a lot of homeless people who need some place to call home OMG it Angers me it's going to get worse until no one will be able to live on this planet due to it been toxic people need to wake up stop wasting money & reduce reuse & recycle.

That once grand ballroom that hosted a famous television show from the 60s ended up being used for storage. Funny how life works out sometimes. Thankfully I got to go in there back in 2021, a security guard let me in. He invited me in actually, I wasn't expecting to go in at all, just look at it from the outside. It was a magical day. I could feel the aura of The Beatles history in there. I played the old piano. What happened to the piano? Lol

    How to make millions of dollars in America by doing nothing: (Step 1) Get a bank to finance the purchase of a historic building sitting on land that’s worth 5x what the building is worth (very easy actually)… Step 2, get the city to shut it down for code violations.. Step 3, let it deteriorate to the point of disrepair to the point where the city is begging you to tear it down instead of demanding you preserve it… Step 4, tear it down and sell the land for a multimillion profit to build a huge monstrosity marketed towards the ultra rich, with apartments starting at $2 million, and hotel rooms starting at $2,000/night.
