Love the Krav Maga Agents. Another squad that we use a lot to annoy one another is the Ninjas of the Northern Wind. I've been using the Blastaron/Gladiatron combo a lot recently too and have been having some luck with it
Deathreavers are my absolute favorite. I started with one squad and thought, "wow they aren't too bad.." Then I realized the power in numbers with them. One of my favorites!
Such a fun watch. Lovely custom footbridges. I Love the DronesC and Warriors of Ashra. Zombies rock. They’re such a creative, thematic design. I own ten sets of zombies. :P My Buddy and i I actually got burned out on Scape’s towards the game’s end of run. While I own all the D&D stuff x4, we didn’t play much of it and would like to revisit it and try those Warforged Soldiers. Curious what you think of the Marden Hounds? They were always a nightmare to deal with

Gotcha! hmmm...well I wouldn't put them in top 10...but both are still strong heroes in the right build. Kelda paired with any heavy hitting, big life hero (I like her with Jotun) can really make a difference. Mimring is pretty cushy in my opinion with only 3 def and 5 life...but if you give him a good screen...that 8 range special can be potentially powerful. They're good big map/big game heroes, but not really for tournament play.
I'm pretty low on squad options, but I really enjoy using Marro Warriors, Drudge, Stingers, Drones, and Nagrubs in most of my armies. I also like running the old Zettian Guard & Deathwalker combination still. The most interesting squad I have beyond that is probably... Shaolin Monks? Almost everything I have is from master sets, lol.
Was wondering when you'd get to the KMA. Clearly the best squad in the game. Add in Raelin RotV support and height, and they're unstoppable. On any map without sufficient LoS blockers, they are game breaking. I almost always give that combo to any new players and tell them to build out from there.
Sir heroscape i start making my own heroscape videos in late September or October because i got buy more figures and one more masterset because i have the first masterset seen 2005 but i lost most my figures so i have to get newone and i still watch you're videos because I'm a true heroscape lover:)
My top ten squads: 10. Anubian Wolves: Really powerful if you get lucky rolls. 9. Ashigaru Harquebus: I'm a major history nerd, and love em more for they're historical significance. 8. Phantom Knights: Probably the most broken squad in Heroscape with stealth flying and good stats. 7. Goblin Cutters: Really good at harassing the enemy. 6. Death Reavers: Nothing more annoying than these little rats. 5. Death Chasers of Thesk: Weak on defense but their battle rush is what really make them shine, not to mention their other stats and bonding. 4. 4th Mass: Their valiant bonus and synergy with Knights of Weston, what else can I say. 3. Aubrien Archers: The frenzy ability on these guys is just insane! I have gone up to 5 consecutive times with these guys on 1 order marker, I highly recommend them to people. Though they are a bit pricey. 2. Marro Warriors: These guys are so fun to play but annoying to fight again, with them being able to resurrect over and over this is probably the most underpriced point card for its ability. (Really it should cost like 75 points) 1. Knights of Weston: These guys have always been my Vanguard and have so much synergy with alot of Heroes. Also due to them being the first Heroscape figures I got.( As a gift from my brother back in the early 2000's ) And there you have it my top ten. You should do a list of top ten most annoying Heroes and squads of Heroscape.
#5 LOVE Deathchasers...definitely one of my favorites. #3 Don't have any...so I wouldn't know their potential...though it sounds like I'm going to have to get some #2 Interesting choice, I can't say I agree...but I can't say I disagree either since I never really use 'em
Trust me Marro Warriors are annoying. The trick is to always leave one behind to be able to respawn your dead Warriors, works even better if you leave one back in water. Also Aubrien are all about luck rolls, but when you frenzy 3 times in one turn you can do some serious damage.
oh okay...yeah I can see that. that definitely makes sense then how they could be pretty annoying. Yeah I think Aubriens would need elevation to be the most effective.
4th Mass should have been #1. Huge snubs from the list were the Airborne Elite and Blade Gruts. The AE are probably the best squad from Rotv. The are super powerful. Versatile, and mobile. The Blade Gruts may be the #1 melee squad. 2 borderline and often overlooked are the Minions and Sentinels
Sorry, Krav beat out 4th Mass every time. They outrange them which forces 4th Mass to have to move in order to shoot at them (negating Wait then Fire), and even if 4th attack the Krav they would still have their stealth dodge. AE look great on paper but aren't at all an 'A' tier squad. Their took much of a wild card to count on in a competitive setting. The best use for them is if you're in a Reverse the Whip tourament. Blade Gruts....meh....sorry but Heavy Gruts are just better and Blades require a lot of buffs from their heroes to be able to make them viable. They can be good if played right, but far from the best melee squad.
I'd bet almost anything that there have been way more 4th Mass winning tourney armies than Krav winning armies. When 1 Krav dies they are reduced to 2/3 strength. When 1 4th Mass dies they remain at full strength until another 12 or so die
I meant Heavy not blade. The AE are most commonly ranked at A-. I would wager they have a higher skillcap to use than the Krav. Many people misuse them and land too close to the enemy and risk losing the initiative roll.
@@jasonjanisewski78 Agreed you will always have more 4th Mass to use, but if you've got 4th mass as your army core then yes you're likely to win any tourney. Krav on the other hand are more versatile in that for 100pts you can throw them in as range support for just about any other strong army you bring. for 4th mass to be best they need to be alone and really the only thing in your army. 4th vs Krav...Krav will always win because they can Kite the board and force 4th into position they don't want to be in. Just speaking from experience.

If you go for the SZ bomb then you're likely to get disappointed, and have them die before they fill their points...but if you just drop them 1/3 way into the map and still outside the reach of an opponent then yes that 8 range can be pretty darn good. That said, I've never seen them be all that great in tournament games, when maps are pretty balanced and keep units like them from being too strong. their 4 move definietley helps slow them down.
It's a good list. I think I would have had dividers or minions or trons in there over the drones and warriors of nice ashra. Can't argue against krav, still the best. I almost thought a unique squad wasn't going to make the list.
The minions are pretty scary but the dividers? They are GOOD but I've always thought the Drones were much more threatening, plus they can be rebirthed by the Hive.

Personal top 5 would be 5) Marro Warriors 4) Phantom Knights 3) 4th Mass 2) Omnicron Snipers (These guys have done some serious work for me) 1) Airborne Elite (That parachute ability has saved me more then once)
Airborne elite huh? Maybe I don't give em enough credit. Fun fact that you might try...Marcus Decimus Gallus can buff the Airborne Elites attack if they are adjacent to him. So you get them podding on elevation with Marcus and you're set!

I have used a squad of armoc vipers and wiped out the krav with only one order marker. Made 4 frenzy rolls and tore through the range of my other opponent. What brought them down is two words shotgun blast 3 skulls.
I used the venoc warlord. And i wont forget the other two order markers on the elite onix. Only one frenzy roll for the first activation and none for the second for they were all dead. My opponents didn't let them live. I also had ubrien archers didn't last very long either.

hey sir heroscape, any historical characters/squads you wish were in the game? I always thought the game could use a nazi hero/ squad to counter Alexander and the airborne elite. also some pirates would have been great.
+Legoman 2198 that would be pretty good, though I'd be more interested in some pieces based on the gods in the Egyptian religion. (though khumoset the dark lord was kind of like that)
Might be able to use Eltahale, Master of the Hunt, or Tandros Kreel. Hmmm that theme is tricky with what is out there. Maybe Vipers would work. Would love to see cactus terrain. Maybe some scorpion type squads that do some poison damage?
Wow, I am really surprised that the Anubian Wolves didn't make it on this list. Considering how you did really well in the first battle you made with the Wolves, I was expecting them to be Number One.
number one, not so much. Truth is their a bit of a glass cannon. You can never really be sure just how good their going to do...unlike other squads that tend to be a little more consistent in their performance.

yeah seriously...you run 3-4 squads and you'll lock down the board completely.

I love using the Gorillanators with the Nakitas. Nakitas go annoyingly well with the Mohicans, too.
