And so, the NFL Training Camp Tour continues and so does the build around the 2022 season....
Earlier in the week, we made a Pivot stop in Cincinnati and the Bengals wide receiver trio had a message for their AFC North rivals, well one player in particular...so we headed across Ohio and sat down with Cleveland's million dollar man to see what he had to say.
Browns' cornerback Denzel Ward, the league's highest paid defensive back and one of the most elite, heard the message loud and clear and his response: "Well, you see what I did that game (against the Bengals) so it makes sense." Ward, known for being a man of few words, has allowed his on field play do the talking for him and is ready for the Browns organization to be on a different path of success heading into this season.
Circling the Bengals on their schedule is a match up the Browns' DBs look forward to each year. With talent on both sides of the ball, Ward is letting the world know, the Cleveland Browns are not the same team people think they are still.
Tuning out the noise and distractions that have plagued the franchise from losing seasons to coaching changes to Baker Mayfield drama to most recently the DeShaun Watson acquisition..Ward is speaking out on the renewed locker room camaraderie and leadership he brings to the team.
By showing support to one another and trust in the organization's choices, Ward feels the team has become a closer unit which will ultimately help them play better, especially behind new quarterback DeShaun Watson, whenever he takes the field this season.
Ryan asks about the loss of Denzel's father and how it impacted his life and Denzel opens up about how he almost walked away from the game of football all together and was ready to give everything up in 2016. "Make Them Know Your Name" a message his father instilled in him, is also the name of his foundation as a tribute to the legacy his family name brings and a reminder on how to treat people always.

Personally I love it, the AFCN is the best division in football and the hatred/respect factor keeps it going. Now that all 4 teams are respectable SIMULTANEOUSLY the division season matters almost as much as the overall season. For instance we beat the shit out of Pittsburgh and Baltimore twice each and made the super bowl, but we still owe Cleveland one (week 18 don’t count) because they CURB STOMPED us in OUR HOUSE. Let’s go AFC North.
As a bengals fan, I LOVE Denzel’s game, even though he’s respected I still believe he may be underrated/unappreciated overall. That’s said, UNO gone cook him at least one of these two games this year because Ward showed his ass on Chase last season.

Delpit and jok as well. Even Harrison is a good starting level ss. There's a reason the browns had a top5 defense last year with alot of adversity. They started out being the worst d in the league and flipped a few weeks into the year. Also the offense was nonexistent with constant turnovers and 3nout 10sec drives. So they were constantly on the field yet they were still great. Then these really young players are still getting better. Its not like the d is full of year 6 guys. They could realistically be the best defense in the league this season.

I want the pivot to Talk about the Talib Situation and how poorly it was handled. I think the pivot has a chance to make an impact on educating people. These youth football leagues mean a LOT to people and we see role models going down like Marshawn Lynch (Youth league leader). And now Aquib Talib brother. Aquib has always been a Thug in the league let’s be real. But what about guys that really DO try to do good. Like you guys! What about the difference makers. This topic doesn’t need to be about Talib or his brother himself. But more so about tempers and how or what you guys do to keep your tempers in check on the field and off the field. My post is controversial so I don’t expect a like but plz consider this in the future. Temper control. Guys need this. Maybe Andre Johnson and Finnegan can unite and talk about this. Maybe Crabtree and Sherman. For the greater good they would. Idk. Somebody. Violence at youth football games needs to stop! A lot of us knew somebody who was good at football and got gunned down at a game or in the streets. Over Tempers. How can we get people to ‘pivot’ from being so Hot headed. You guys made it.
