Shreemoyee's podcasts are always very thoughtful and sensitive. I appreciate the fact that she didn't mention anything about the husband and let the interview be only about Nilanjana. Another thing that I learnt is the importance of being kind to everyone. We don't know what battles people are fighting in their personal life.
There comes a time when the strongest of steel magnolias need some TLC… Loved her grit, intelligence and through it all, caught a glimpse of the ocean of grief… The dignity and refrain shows old school class… Not airing her private equation was just sooo inspiring ❤ Would love to see more of this glamorous lady ❤
As children fly the nest, all of us mother's feel horribly lonely, but let's remind us mothers can't be selfish, rather shouldn't be. This is what I learnt from my own parents.
Loved Nilanjanaa’s vibrant energy, honesty & warmth laced with pain. She is an extraordinary lady of grace and grit. As Jim Morrison said “You feel your strength only in the experience of pain.” Bless Bless ❤
So happy to have chanced upon this conversation. Loved it! Thank you! It's awesome to have her share her experiences! Please have her back! In this day and age it is so refreshing to listen to someone like her!! Thank you!
Hello I watched this podcast from Toronto Canada 🍁 Absolutely enjoyed the raw candidness of both ladies. I vividly remember her mom Anjana Bhowmick in several bengali movies in the 60s and early 70s. Brilliant actress. Her daughter is beautiful both inside and out. All the best and hope to enjoy more shoes moving forward 😊❤
This is such an extra ordinary women empowerment type of interview. Nilanjana you are such a strong confident and wonderful person. Take care of yourself! You deserve all the best things and persons in life. 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤. Thanks Sreemoyee. Stay blessed. Glad to meet you. !
Khub bhalo laglo Interview ta dekhe. I used to see her and Sara shopping together in Spencer's regularly. She was a simple and regular person. Didn't know there's so much untold stories that she had to share ❤❤❤❤
Of all the messages that streamed out of this beautiful meaningful chat, the “endorse yourself” message was the most powerful! Thank you Nilanjana and Piu. ❤❤
Nilanjana loved you in Hip Hip Hurray and Silk route videos. You lit up my school days with your bright eyes. Plz make a comeback as an actor you will be phenomenal❤
Great conversation...real, relevant and relatable... Always knew Nilanjanaa for her performance in Hip Hip Hurray and later for being Jishu Sengupta's wife...but today I got to know about so many aspects of her life... Respect her for her choices and being able to pull them off so well.
Thank you for conducting an insightful interview. Take home messages are vey strong , we all should work on this. Like self love, self-care, setting boundaries, don’t bother being judged and post partam depression is real, people still don’t understand it. Thank you again.
This was such an invigorating interview. Straight from the heart yet very well articulated and so many takeaways.... Thouroughly enjoyed listening to you both. All the best for your future endeavours ❤
Cant thank you enough guys for what was discussed, and being so real, post partum, career comebacks, choices made in between, caregiver of parents..and yeah as for me my moment after my Maa left, I still shiver to write the word died...I burst in the biggest of howls and crying was when I went to fetch her death certificate at the district office, in front of 10 clerks and and random people present at that premises.

More power to you girl 🙌💞 by the way I'm too a Feb born and our journey if not entirely but quite similar loved how you expressed your self so effortlessly and how the interviewer reminded you of the same too actually getting back to acting! Best semblance was, as she mentioned 'and she is (only) Nilanjana' (pardon me for not remembering her exact words)' But that was exactly where I found myself somewhere so deeply connected with you and more! And we are the same age too...lol
