I remember this piece and others like it had me wondering for a long time "why does that lead guitar sound like it's not going through a cabinet?" and I only recently learned that apparently it was a whole thing, plugging the guitar through just some effects and then into the mixer! It would have been easier if you just uploaded this years ago hahah
Aha yeah, DI guitar was the move for a good amount of this music! It was either that or high headroom + compression + whatever other seasonings were in vogue at the time. I was surprised at how simple the tone was to dial in, just max everything out and go to town!
