Hey Sonny will you visit Nepal after this pandemic. I have seen everyone visiting India, china and other countries but not Nepal, why? could you make a change.
The Vietnamese are truly inventive with their food. Makes me want to try their rice wrapper spring rolls and loaded noodles. Their rice wrapper invention were truly amazing.
You have to appreciate the rice guy, I mean it’s obvious that the dragon fruit and watermelon would not add a distinct flavour but he still used it so as to help out farmers of Vietnam. A real entrepreneur is someone who grows business by helping everyone.
I have a longed developed love of Vietnamese food and culture. Being born in the early 70's, growing up next to a family that brought in refugees. I was lucky enough to become friends with a young Vietnamese boy named Hung and his father Sun. Sun was a excellent cook and I was exposed to many different Southeast Asian foods during that time. Among them of course Vietnamese, and including Laotian, Cambodian and Thai. Watching your vids, especially those based in Vietnam have re-awakened something in me. I have been gravitating towards SE Asian foods for the last few years since watching you. Keep doing what you do Sonny and crew!!
Check out Max McFarlin's channel here th-cam.com/users/MaxMcFarlinvideos. He does an amazing job of showcasing Vietnamese food with his Arkansas/deep south accent. :)
Same. We had a Thai cook named Sunny that prepared lunch where I worked in the early 2000s. Seeing the food here brings back great memories of her awesome dishes.
I love how even just in interviewing factories and chefs Sonny and the team facilitates innovation. It's serving a dual purpose to educate the viewer and also broaden the minds of everyone he meets in person. Truly living up to the channel name!
Actually it is unnecessary. Why add political nuances to a video where viewers seek out entertainment? Made me feel uncomfortable. Lots of Chinese viewers on this channel actually.
I don't know why some people dislike this. But honestly identifying opportunities and innovation should appreciate. Thanks for showing this video series. ❤❤ from 🇱🇰

If you're a yuppie... they literally said in the video the dragon fruit rice paper tastes worse than the normal one, and the watermelon noodles are basically just regular noodles. That's why none of the locals are eating them. They see through the bullshit. Dragon fruit and watermelon by themselves are delicious; keep them out of rice paper and noodles. Hell, take them to the effing ice cream factory!
@@nahor88 you are right. it is nice that they are trying new stuff though. Vietnamese people always look really hardworking and smart. damn i might have a crush for them.
@@nahor88 They didn't say it tasted worse, only chewier. The guy created a product from surplus produce that were in danger of being spoiled and thrown out, saving farmers and small producers. I'm sure the ice cream industry buys dragon fruit and watermelon, but if the guy creates a market for these new products then it's a win both for him and the farmers. If the new products are not successful then at least he has helped those same farmers during the time their produce was not selling.
Nahor88 you have no right to criticize these people, unless you have actually tried their product, however you have most likely not, since you did not write down your own experience with the food. You also did not explain why the product taste gross at all in your own experience you did not tell us what the taste, or texture was like to you, your only merely assuming it taste gross because someone said it does without trying it yourself. which means that your just assuming things without any direct evidence, not to mention how do you know their locals aren’t eating their product, did you go their physically, and see, if not your just assuming again, without any direct evidence to support your claims. Next time, do your own research before criticizing someone, or something. That should be the most logical thing to do.
