You know, I really like the sudden endings. With so many intricate outros out there, it's nice having something quick and fun!
And other than a few retakes on the intro, the intro and outro are just as quick seeing it live too.
The idea behind the engagement ring was that it largerly replaced the idea of a dowry. Basically, being able to buy it would show the potential bride's family that the husband had the resources to support her (which made them much more likely to agree to the marriage than if he couldn't!), and in the event that he died (or ran off or was so awful that the church or court granted a divorce etc.), selling the engagement ring would be enough for her to live on for quite a while if need be. Hence why it was generally rather extravagant and valuable.
The wedding ring, on the other hand, is generally gold and just a simple band because it's shiny, doesn't tarnish, doesn't get in the way, is easy to see, is fairly difficult to damage, is fairly easy to repair or resize if need be, and a whole bunch of other practical reasons. it's basically ideal for something you will almost never take off for the rest of your life (at least in theory) that it is intende that other people be able to see easily. It's actual monetary value is decidedly secondary.
There's a reason selling one's engagement ring is traditionally fairly high up the list of ways to get funds in an Actual emergency or particularly hard times while selling a wedding ring is usually Right down the bottom of the list (only things you actually need in order to, you know, Live, tend to be further down the list for most people).
To add to this, as I understand it the use of diamond rings for engagement is the result of an incredibly successful advertisement push.
The diamond market wasn't doing so hot because they were only in demand from the extremely wealthy and supply was getting large enough that they risked a market crash. Sure DeBeirs owned the market, but they had hit a massive supply in South Africa, and things were looking bad by the 1930s because there wasn't a demand.
So after WWII, they went to an advertising firm who went full offensive. On the one hand, diamonds were in all the movies as a sign of romance. They were sold to all the celebrities who were getting married. Pictures of those celebrities were supplied to newspapers all over the country. On the other hand, they sent guest lecturers into high schools and colleges across the US teaching lessons targeting the young women that included the "fact" that romance had to include a diamond as a sign that he loved her that much.

ME and my wife got engaged with no ring as we where both broke at the time. Hell even out wedding budget was $600 bucks but we had a very memorable medieval wedding that is still talked about almost 20 years later. We just asked people to bring a side dish instead of a gift as we pretty much had everything we already needed at the house. Was all thanks to my cousin who was super stocked about doing the wedding. From making the costumes to marrying us.

I got my wife an engagement ring where the band is split and joined by 3 diamonds (one end of the band on top of the diamonds, one on the bottom). I have no idea what chat was on about with the engagement rings. Just about every married woman I've ever known has worn both their engagement and wedding rings at the same time, and both usually have diamonds, or at least a precious gem in them. My mom actually had hers fused together, so they would essentially function as one larger ring.
My wife wears both as does my mother in law. My wife gets antsy when she has either the engagement ring or the wedding band off for more than 10 minutes.

Yeah the limited run shit I never really go out of my way to do it but when I stop somewhere I usually try it if it doesn't seem horrible like I stopped at bk for like the first time in a month or 2 seen the spider burger and was like screw it I'll give it a shot or what ever so places I go more often I'll get the gimmick stuff more often especially if it good and I want more of it before it goes away like say I stop somewhere twice a week for work lunch instead of going through the circuit of my handful of go-tos on the menu I just pound the gimmick for the next month twice a week till they take it off the menu or until I get bored of it If they extend it's stay

11:00 Don't get married. It's an unconscionable contract, for men specifically. Even with a prenuptial agreement, in a divorce, you can lose half of all your assets, custody of your children (if you have any), and part of your paycheck for the rest of your former spouse's life as alimony. This means your wife can cheat on you at anytime, anywhere, with no repercussions, as you filing for divorce means she still nets herself all of the above by law.
Basically, getting married, as a man (in the U.S.), is like handing someone a gun and trusting them not to kill you (financially) at any time, even though they would get a massive payout with no downsides if they did. You are either a slave to her whims while married or financially ruined for the rest of your divorced life.
Marriage is just a very bad decision to make, as a man, because of this. Literally, better off shooting yourself in the foot with a shotgun, loaded with dragon's breath rounds. Much less costly and painful.
