Cooking A Pizza On The Jobsite
ฝัง
- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 19 เม.ย. 2024
- We attempted to cook a massive pizza on the jobsite using a custom 4-foot pan and our vibratory roller to roll the dough.
First, I blew flour all over the drum with the leaf blower.
We didn’t want 25 pounds of dough sticking to the roller.
Now I know what you’re thinking… yes, we cleaned the roller drum, at least the part that would touch the dough.
I stacked two quarter inch boards on either side, minus the thickness of the pan that gave us 3/8” crust- which worked out perfect.
I used a concrete float to spread the sauce- this worked awesome; honestly, if I had my own pizza shop this is how I would do it.
Three full hard hats of mozzarella, and pepperoni sliced with my Milwaukee HackZall.
We built an oven with some leftover blocks and brick and used charcoal to heat it.
This pizza was crazy heavy, so we used the CAT to get it into the oven.
Once it was in place, we covered the oven with aluminum to trap in the heat.
All we had to do now was wait and enjoy some cold drinks.
It took about 20 minutes for it to bake.
We couldn’t believe how well this thing turned out- it looked and smelled amazing.
Let us know in the comments, what should we cook next on the jobsite? @hausplans

I hope the shop steward came in and said “Hey, that guy making the pizza, is he union?”
“Yes sir.”
“Call the hall, tell them we need one more guy here to do the slicing...and that pizza better have a union book too.”
“How would you like your pizza sir?”

This is by far the most "Guys being guys" thing I've seen in a long time and I am 110% for it.
The pizza turned out great, I just think that is very unsanitary. Like he said he cleaned the drum but how clean can you really get that thing? Let alone all the non food grade materials he poured the ingredients from. I hope this was just for the video and they didn’t really eat that thing.

I am a firm believer in holding the pizza to eat it, Im not sure I can convince my self that this giant could be held.
This is what working for the government on a road crew looks like, afterwords its the hard part of holding a stop/slow sign and standing around watching the excavator operator move dirt 😂😂😂
Now they always give the stop slow sign to the woman on the crew. Every time I see road work going on around here, I look to see who is holding the stop slow sign, and it’s always a woman, or if there is no woman on the crew, it’s a young black guy. The diversity hires always get the sign to hold up, while the white guys and Hispanics are busting their asses. I’d be pissed if I was jackhammering and paving asphalt or pouring concrete all day, and they were making the same amount of money as me just to hold up a damn sign.
@CivilizedWarrior everytime I see a road crew or highway team, there are 20 people sitting around while the machine does all the work, except when they are building bridges. That's the only time I see actual work happening.

@@AHHHHHHHH21 Funny or not is obviously entirely up to you, but rolling pizza dough is indeed bad practice.
@@makromizer thats not a bad practice if rolling pizza would make for mostly the same pizza just like stretching it, the only flaw i can see for rolling it is just the uneven surface of the dough compared to stretching it

Why would they give you a raise when they can just replace you if need be with another employee who'll accept your current wage
@renecruz2964 Ohhh I see you know my manager, lmao
@@aaronalbertson8670I think it's just how everything is. I know jack-shit about construction, but my managers at Pizza Hut had this same sentiment. We were the lowest paying place in town, and our employment was like a revolving door. I worked there for three years, and didn't have any pay advantage over the barely functioning druggies that were in and out in a month. We were so short staffed that I was doing three different positions simultaneously. Asked for a raise, told they don't do that. She loved to bitch about how people were leaving the job over something as small as a 25 cent wage difference, but didn't get the brilliant idea to pay workers the difference. It sucked knowing that they would rather hire and 'train' some jackoff rather than keep the person that was dependable and worked multiple positions there for three years. You are a saint. Dealing with awful managers at a restaurant is bad enough. I couldn't imagine doing that on a construction site.
