Mughals gave India so much. They build so many beautiful Monuments and Mosques all over India/Pakistan/Bangladesh. India was richest place in the world at the time Mughals. Aurangzeb Alamgir who was most powerful ruler of South-Asia in the history, ruled 49 years from Afghanistan to Bangladesh and all the way down to the southern part of India, in his time approx 25% of World GDP was under his rule.

British were smart to take these artificats and keep safe with them they knew its importance and most importantly they knew people of subcontinent. They knew if they kept it here. It's very unfortunate to see that, not many Indians are present at this exhibition.
This is just a tip of the iceberg that demonstrates what Moguls did for the indian Subcontinent & it's people, Most unfortunately Moguls are considered as outsiders/occupiers by many Indians of current generation. On the contrary, Moguls had a great pride of being Indian ,they were born of Indian soil and laid to rest in India, they did not loot or extract wealth out of India like the British masters ,as you can see for yourself over here.

I am kinda cool with the fact that these artefacts are safely stored in British museums rather than being handed over to the countries of the Indian subcontinent....Like imagine everyone would claim these artifacts ( since they were part of the Mughal Empire) and they would be more used for political agendas and religious and historical bigotry and conflict than actual learning purpose......One day they wouldve been on a Mosque or a Temple or in the hands of a minister of a country or they even wouldve gotten renamed.....It wouldve been a disgusting stuff to watch....
