I was at this show at The Royal Albert Hall with Hawkwind. I didn't have any alcohol or pharmacuticals but I left the show intoxicated and staggered all the way home. Sonic Destruction.😵‍💫🤪

Arthur Brown is a special artist who has done incredible things with costume, but his major asset is the range of his voice!
Always, since teen age, I’ve listened closely 😎

Man I love this guy. What he said in '67 about music performance being rather dead is still true today. At 81 years old he still knows how to be very interesting and inject real creative energy into music. Never tried to be like anyone else, completely unique. Keep going Arthur Brown! My hat is off to this great band as well!

LOVE ETERNAL TO ARTHUR BROWN THE ETERNAL MESSENGER!!~~~ My story of the influence the lyrics & words had on me from 1972 till now.
By 1972 I was blessed with my 1st joint. On the giant sound systems we had by then an 'Acoustic Research' system they put on Hawkwinds 'In Search Of Space' I thought "This is the music I've always wanted to hear" ( as I'd never heard anything like it). A few days later I was given a 1/2 trip (due to strength back then & my 1st & age, even mum was there but I was in heaven & played only that album till dawn. Soon after I was in an import record shop in 1973 as I lost interest in school as I was learning much faster & what actually were life's most important lessons from LSD pot & books when I saw the cover of an album I'd never seen, Arthur Brown's Kingdom Come Journey. Soon after I discovered the Kingdom Come self titled album & now at 66 I am still totally obsessed with even more than Hawkwind now my lifetime hero beloved spiritual cosmic adviser through voice Arthur Brown.
I recently bought the 71-73 Cosmic Anthology & am so happy for all Arthurs done for me throughout life in terms of spiritual guidance & leading me onto the path of very occasionally attaining Cosmic Consciousness with psychedelics which isn't even comparable to what people get out of a trip because you have to be in the right state of mind & have a high enough dose or its just not going to happen.
I've seen a brilliant interview with a very spiritually naive woman, around 30 or so & she just couldn't grasp what arthur was saying about the concepts of there being no ultimate right nor wrong right & wrong as everything that is meant to happen happens from universal love & in cosmic consciousness you can see everything is perfect & exactly as it is meant to be & nothing can happen which isn't divine but our mundane mindframes can't grasp this...we can only feel it & understand it in a state of Cosmic consciousness.
Anyone who has experienced that state of consciousness for any amount of time even once just "Knows" & nothing can take what your mind has been opened to away. There's no more fear of anything in the universe. This is the state of mind the 'Sacred Youth' of the Incas who was treated as a god for the year till his sacrifice was willingly given, with love & by love. Love is the only thing you can feel no matter what is happening to you.
You & I will never forget this experience to those who understand this concept. The Hawkwind 'Log Book' in the old vinyl In Search Of Space logbook I read in bits & pieces whilst listening to the album on mega quality headphones all night was mind opening on a major scale too.. One of the best nights of my life was the 1st time I had 1/2 a trip 1972 strength quality clean as.
So I've had psychedelics regularly why whole life but not often & I very into preparing body mind & spirit & keeping notes of things I realise on trips because without wanting spiritual enlightenment enough to be prepared to die the ego death & be reborn you'll mostly get the pop & fizz of colours & sounds instead of the lifting of consciousness dramatically.
I've only attained that state a couple of handfuls of time but once will change your life.
Thank you Arthur for all you've done to bring the state of consciousness I can see you've attained many times to the masses with music to take you till you're beyond sounds & colours & having no distractions like in a Lilly isolation tank your mind is much more likely to shift consciousness a lot & you'll reach a level of understanding it'd take 20 years or more absolutely consistent meditation to be able to obtain but when the slower process is followed you access it eventually almost at will & the brain waves of 'marathon meditators are mostly gama like on a high dose psychedelic session.
I owe a life I've loved to Hawkwind & Arthur Brown The Time Captain "Who synthesized the rays power In OUR brains", as it was their music that took me to where I was in the right state of mind to leave this 'seemingly 'real' reality behind.
LOVE ETERNAL TO ARTHUR BROWN THE ETERNAL MESSENGER OF UNIVERSAL LOVE & ONENESS!!~~~

Victor Peraino had just joined on keyboards and Slim Steer had left. He was an exstudent at the Derby Art College and played a few sets in the foyer, just an acoustic guitar and sounding like Bob Dylan. Nice bloke.
I remember they dropped a muslin (I think) curtain in front of them as the song progressed and had some kind of projected image on it. Long time ago. They were on at Barbarella's in Derby the first time I saw them running through the second album, then at Derby King's Hall for the third album opening with Time Captives. The encore opened with Brains, Arthur riding on the back of a giant brain. Happy days.

Always being one to shock- I remember Arthur being crucified on stage at the Reading Festival in 1971, backed by his original Kingdom Come band. About the same time also saw him on a tiny stage at the Wake Arms in Epping. This time members of the band were dressed up as a telephone and a set of traffic lights and a large model of a galleon was swung over the heads of the audience, on a rope tied to the ceiling. Saw him last at Club 85 in Hitchin a few weeks ago.

Goddamnest act I've ever seen but not nearly as far out as Sun Ra and the Arkestra. Ra was so ahead of his time no one, not even Brown, has picked up the slack. Maybe Beefheart but it wasn't out of love that was the Arkestra.
