@ExpelledMystery PLLLEEEEEASE What is the song in the video at 0:50??? I've been trying to find the name if this song for YEARS but I can never find what it's called
This was delightful to watch and re-watch! What a lonely and sad backstory :( I had a great time drawing with you guys. I look forward to doing this again in the future!
Oh I think we're definitely monsters in some regards! great illustrations/concepts and interesting process also cannot help but be amazed by your wonderful editing, it made watching the video very enjoyable and fun despite having been there for the whole process
@@ExpelledMystery yeah specially cuz you got the hardest random results imo! so the fact you managed to nail the final result so well speaks volumes! :D I also love that you went for another go after your initial attempt, which wasn't half bad at all, but the second one is a much better realized creature and you even came up with some really cool and dark lore to go with it! :D
ha nice job never wouldve expected that first interpretation, my mind immediately went to some sort of bee creature who pulls out its own regenerating stinger and uses it as a sword or a thrown projectile like a dagger. the goop could even be honey
My first idea with these prompts would be a gelatinous cube from D&D it would be full of cursed swords and arrows and rotting corpses. And then just make it that big more goopy and wingy
I would go practically like that, but with a slug appearance and literal human arms holding swords. Then it would have the carapace and a bunch of wings. More elden ringy than DnDy.
I did this with Monster Garden and Velga, and so i thought with you! I used your prompts and made my own little monster that i call "The Armory Beetle." This creature seems at first to be a large snail made of ooze with an old jar to act as its shell, but its real form it that of a beetle the size of a kitten that secretes a thick ooze that it is able to control. They often are found wandering old battlegrounds, collecting forgotten weapons to protect itself. It uses blades or blunt weapons for close range and arrows and anything light enough to throw as far range protection options.
The quality is through the roof. Edit: I didn’t expect to laugh during one of these videos, but it was a pleasant surprise. Yet another edit: To everyone seeing this comment. You need to zoom in on the drawing. EMy even drew veins under the skin. I couldn’t see it normally, but that incredible amount of detail is present in every drawing (that u have seen). At some point she also began drawing the skin pores. If you are seeing this video on a phone, then what are you even doing? If you want to see the real detail, then turn on your computer, open TH-cam, set resolution to max and zoom in.
10:40 I honestly would have gone for a giant beetle insect knight with rust on his armor like carapace and the projectile acid goop from his mouth More monstrous than a leaf-lickin knife eared backstabbing whining elf.
Love the art and story. Don't suppose you were using the Hardy Fowler method of painting skin tones? Seems like the same method of painting value using bright orange on dark green. I've tried it but always end up with a much muddier result which is unfortunate.
my first thought of seeing your 5 parts was just a slime decaying everything around, but that's just my uncreative brain going for the obvious. But you did so much better then just the obvious choice. Gladly I discovered your and the others channels thanks too Simon/Monstergarden.
Alright, the original comment I wrote was pretty mean, that's an ass of me Good art though, I just think it would have significantly looked creepier with more non-humanoid parts, like something that looks familiar and yet warped. It helps add more of a bite to the scary aspect and with the insectoid parts
Got here because of Monstergarden
Welcome :D
@@ExpelledMystery Thank you

@@Specternul The Curious Kitten - Aaron Kenny
it should be in yt library
Man the final result was absolutely beautiful 😭 (it's lore did it justice)
Oh thank you:>
I was thinking the goop, projectile, and weapon prompt could be combined with some kind of biological acid-spraying water gun thing
This was delightful to watch and re-watch! What a lonely and sad backstory :( I had a great time drawing with you guys. I look forward to doing this again in the future!
we should definitely do it again! :D
What an incredible second attempt! I liked the first drawing a lot but the second makes for an excellent folk monster.
Thanks! I'm glad you like it^^

that's awesome, for some reason I imagine it beeing very cute hh😅
@@ExpelledMystery yeah, I imagine they are cuter than the tumorous "CragHopper" and the stabby "Hanging Spider Crab"
Dear lord, you're so skilled. Mad respect.
thank you so much :) but there is always space for improvement
Interesting that this got recommended to me when i never watched this channel, but I did watch monster garden. Awesome stuff.

shhh, they should not know
Really cool collaborative effort!
actually such an awesome concept I can see this as a quest in the witcher. subscribed
i do take a lot of inspiration the the Witcher :D
Glad the lantern was hung on this just being Monster Bash. Because that was gonna bug me if no one said anything.
yeah haha :D I dont think we even knew what was the plan
Both of them are professional level drawings, holy shit!!! Could easily see them in a card game or Splash Art
I'm glad you like it :D thank you
This was quite surprising to see after seeing the nightmare fuels the others have created. It really gives a strong folkloric vibe.
Very cool

Yes, exactly! :D I tried it and it really works for me
Very cool. I like the first one a lot. I kinda love the second. The folklore aspect of it is fantastic, too.
