i build this project for our new house and new workshop that is under construction, my workers really love the outcome of the sand screen machine which dont they need to do the manual process of separating rocks to fine sand.
the project is very simple among the others, because it does not require too much mechanism, it only needs a 150watts washing machine motor with vibrating head and 4pcs of salvaged motorcycle absorber shock springs and all of the metals i used is tubular steel that quite less expensive.

I like the stainless bowl protector, great idea! Tip for you: the motor will wear out quick because its on a copper bearing. Use a belt and a separate axle and the motor will last long.
True, most washing machines have a working pulley drive in the bottom. If they don't want to spend money, they can get most of the parts for free from a washer: a motor, 30"x30" steel panels (you'll get 2), frame parts, pulley drive, power supply, solenoid valves for auto clean out, screws, bolts, wire, etc.
Beds have the springs or you could probably use spiral springs or leaf springs from an old car or the auto recyclers.

you should mount your vibration motor on a side plate platform.. with the motor underneath it, the air being taken in to cool the motor will be filled with fine dust which will wear out the motor in time.. put two wheels on one side to use it like a wheel barrel to move it.. put a hopper under it with a back wall that you can shovel against to get the finished product..

This is a nice system, in the sand craning search is a dumb machine that shakes the table back and forth the process is about 1/4 as fast as this maybe less this is good. I’m making one now

what about building a solar water distillation unit at some point? Take dirty water, have a small pump cycle it through a box with a glass lid. The sun causes some to evaporate and condense on a sheet of glass (on an angle), collect the water from the glass. Maybe throw in a solar panel for the pump (a solar garden fountain pump, perhaps? Banggood have plenty). They're useful for properties where clean, running water isn't easy to access.
