    These brain exercises are now my automatic go-to when I need help calming and to feel safe before sleep. My first dizziness attack occurred when I woke up and I have always feared going to sleep and waking up again with severe spinning. Since I have been doing these somatic tracking and other brain exercises on your channel I am finding that I wake up without the dizziness and I spend far less time these days in the mornings checking in with myself to see if I am dizzy or not. Thank you so much Dr Yo!

    Thank you! ❤ I used this to calm my body during my first running session in over a year. I took breaks, listened to my body, and also pushed it a bit with this meditation to let it know I’m ok.

    I just found your channel about a week ago. Also got the free course a couple of days ago. I've been severely dizzy 24/7 since a bppv attack in March -22. I can hardly move or even sit. Basically I'm tied to my bed. No doctor can explain what's going on despite all the possible tests. 3pd is still quite unknown here in Finland, so, this is kind of my last resort. I did this and the somatic tracking for the first time today and MAN did it flare up my symptoms. So something's definitely there. I'm going to do my best and keep following your advice. Thumbs up for me getting my life back!

    Thank you so much! I’ve been diagnosed with 3PD for two years and this is the first helpful advice I’ve seen anywhere. It took 4 years to reach my diagnosis so I’m really looking forward to improving my brain responses and getting some relief.

      @TheSteadyCoach initially the somatic tracking really helped, but for past couple of days I feel like I can't regulate my normal breathing pattern, I keep focusing on it and now I feel like I'm forcing myself to breathe which is really not helping my anxiety. Any tips for returning to normal breathing pattern please :(

    This is excellent. I've had such a great day managing my dizziness and then wham - suddenly it felt like it was out of control again 🙄 I felt dizzy, off balance, floaty, arms heavy... just plain WEIRD!! I remembered to stay calm and not given reason for the vestibular muscle to give off alarm signals! Still freaky, though.

    • @TheSteadyCoach
      @TheSteadyCoach  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am so sorry that you experienced this, Chelsea! It seems though that you have all the right tools that you are using. Like you said, it can feel a little freaky, but remember this is all part of the recovery process. You did the right thing by remaining calm and leaning into it.❤

      @@TheSteadyCoach I mean, I have chronic anxiety disorder and it seems the dizziness condition I have is so similar. Recovery similar too. Relax about my symptoms, do my vestibular exercises, calm the vestibular nerve down and gradually the dizziness will calm down too. Stop feeding the monster!

    I have a long time been breathing in for 4 and out for 6, so this with 2 on the inhale is new. I suppose the focus on the exhale being so much longer than the inhale is activating the parasymphatetic system more.

    Thank you but it would help if you would do one of these with the actual counting only. I was trying to listen and you would say inhale and then start talking and by the time you said exhale it was way too long and my breath was all off.

      Thanks for the feedback, Rheanna. This is one of the first ones I did and I’ve since updated the instructions, so the count is off anyway 🤪. It’s probably time to redo this one

    It has been a while, my name used to be Kaito.
    Sorry for another question.
    I have been using the ACT book you taught me (without the dizziness thing, it has helped me in my life. Thank you so much) and I do daily mindfulness breathing exercises similar to the methods in this video for therapy.
    So my question is, should I not use the treatment methods described in the free course, including this breathing method, and focus on the treatment in ACT (is there anything else I should be doing?).
    Also, for that matter, is there a different treatment plan for dizziness that lasts for 24 hours or is it harder to cure than the normal one?
    Your presence and channels are supporting me.
    I am sorry that my words are not accompanied by actions, but thank you for everything.

    • @TheSteadyCoach
      @TheSteadyCoach  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Kaito, you don't need to do anything else described in the free course- the emotional work you are doing is the key. The other things in the course are to help educate and help people cope with the symptoms so they can get back to moving and living. Many or most of my clients have 24/7 symptoms and the treatment is the same!

    Is it weird that when I do this deep breathing I feel tightness in my chest and my heart beat “harder”? I am usually a shallow mouth breather.

    • @TheSteadyCoach

    Hi Dr Yonit ,is it normal to feel dizzy when you first started this exercise? I feel really dizzy when i started the deep breathing. Thanks in advance.

    • @TheSteadyCoach
      @TheSteadyCoach  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Cherie, if you're tkaing really deep in breaths, it can make you feel dizzy (especially if you're not used to it). Try taking a normal breath in and make your exhales really long. You can also shorten the in breath to 2 seconds.
