Back in Hawaii we called those Lai fish 🐟 I didn't even know they get that big! Nice catch. You should use the skin as a lure, cut them in stripes, it sticks to the hook pretty well.

How's it going mate? Great video! Regarding the knife man, a knife forged with two different types of metal would create a darker metal atop the blade because the lower part was sharpened. The knife in question is a not a real forged knife. A real forged knife will never have paint or stain on it. In my opinion, it doesn't matter that she sanded the paint off the blade. Might just mean you get less paint in your food;)

Not a typical queenfish from what we have in Australia. The Hawaiian call em Lai and ppl here call them telong telong , much better eating than the queenfish we have in Oz and generally a lot smaller

We call it a king fish here in Trinidad,best fish ever,we slice it up season deep fry,then curry with coconut milk.
