    A friend recommended planting german millet for ground cover in north central Oklahoma; he is originally from Minnesota and holds a doctorate in agronomy while having decades of experience. It is summer here now and in late August seed will be planted to Fall crop. Thanks for video

    Easily one of the most competent and thorough video comparisons of these 3 popular millets. Job well done in the realm of private extension communication. Now if I can just find german millet seed in Ontario.

    Thanks for making the video. Can you tell me the Latin names for the 3 types please. I presume they are separate species of plants and not just cultivars of one species?

    Would have liked more information on these. For instance what zones each are best in. Soil pH preferences and really wish you'd showed the dried seeds. Glad you posted the video though.

    Can you draw comparisons for brewing beer with these different grains? Basically looking for the species with the higher friability.

    Thanks for the great video! Is there a different seed rate for grain vs hay if I was geared for grain production? Or is it the same seed rate regardless?

    I am looking for a good pasture mix for high density mixed livestock grazing. I will be grazing pigs, sheep, cows, rabbits, and poultry in Dermott, AR. Any suggestions on pasture mixes?

    • @RenovoSeed
      @RenovoSeed  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Our #3 Hay and Pasture Mix is our best quality mix of grasses. I would use this along with our Food Plot blend called Elevate. Elevate is a perennial clover blend that will add more diversity of species to accommodate the range of livestock grazing the pasture. You can find #3 Hay and Pasture Mix here: www.millbornseeds.com/product/3-hay-pasture-mix/ and our Elevate blend here: www.millbornseeds.com/product/elevate/

    Does millet respond to nitrogen and if so how many units would you recommend.
    I planted some German from Milborns this year and did well but wondering if a little N would of upped the tonnage

      I’m sure it’s too late for my response but if not an average of 60 lbs/acre is very common to establish the stand

    By the way speaking of German millet, your name "Fruechte" means "Fruits" in german.
    But I'm sure you knew that already.
    Nice video, thanks

      Due to the many variables that are involved with horses, we recommend consulting your veterinarian on the best feed options.
