This was such a good movie.
I love that she continued to wear the pearls, that took her to her destiny.
And he was fascinated by her, so decided to wait for her. Beautiful!

I love these old shows, but the only down side is there is always a dusty old person who makes a comment like this. The good old days when young ladies had no rights, not allowed to have bank accounts without husbands and were expected to breed and nothing else. How conveniently you forget.

Although originally telecast on "FOUR STAR PLAYHOUSE" on January 21, 1954 ,this was actually a pilot for an unsold series that would have featured Colman as host of an anthology dramatizing famous stories.

Angela is precious as always 💖 that's my babygirl 👑 highkey I feel like Mayer knew what she was really worth but tried not to give her too much shine (probably because other studios would have offered her better opportunities... well that's my opinion anyway). I'm proud of her for overcoming typecasting as gracefully as she has though. Angie has got her own from the start, no questions asked.
