Hey Seth, go 3 color add either black or white for removal and anything else, but the key to making dinos very good is 3 of captain Lannery storm she consistently puts down a turn 4 carnage tyrant and sometimes turn 5 gishath if you're feeling spicy she's the real deal to help dinos be better
Naya dinos is in fact better. It answers Temur by tapping down creatures with Sunwing and shutting down the energy flow with Solemnity. Also g/r doesn't have enough meaningful interactions to stop energy. Perhaps with shock, lightning strike, harness lightning or settle the wreckage. I do agree with energy and ramnunap being the decks to beat. Though I feel pirates' dirty tricks make it better vs energy. I've thought about goin pirates panharmonicon. Kitesail double triggers destroying hands with Hostage Taker to steal glorybringers or carnage tyrants seems absolutely bonkers...
I had an epic Pirate sealed pool in my pre-release event, PLUS I pulled the new Gaia's Cradle as my promo! I couldn't use it in my deck, but the pirates won me all my matches without too much hassle, so it was a fun time, and now I have a foily card for all my green commander decks!
Hey Seth i think the way to deal with energy's deck, playing a dino deck, is with a Naya ramp deck, to bring some big stuff and some solemnites in the sideboard. Other wise i dont know it seems difficult to beat energy
I play tested several versions of GB constrictor and Temur energy with solemnity and it annihilated them. They both have several dead cards that won't even hot the board if they cast them...
I believe you can deal with those you have problem with a white splash (solemnity, cast out, Authority of the Consuls, Kinjalli's Sunwing, Ixalan's Binding) add aether hubs and other energy for the 3 colors, and drop the otepec huntmaster
So much of these streams are people trying to share decks with him while he is trying to play in a competitive league. Lol he is trying to feed his children! Maybe people should just email the list to him instead. It makes it better for other viewers. It's not like we can see the deck they are sharing with him anyways so it's just dead air time.
Only watching these on TH-cam, I can agree, but a lot of the appeal of streams comes from being able to interact with the streamers. So it's understandable that viewers want to do just that, in whatever way :)

hmmm...you know, thinking about it I was initially pretty hype for treasure tokens, like I'm always down for some ramp of any color, helps with mana fixing obvi, but like...anytime anybody pops one I always expect them to be drawing a card because clue tokens are just so good and like, seeing them in action now it just doesn't feel like they've got the same level of utility as clues did beyond weird janky combo decks. And granted, I love me some weird janky combo decks, but still.
I think g/w dinos is going to be better than g/r. Kinjalli's caller is so much faster than huntmaster and doesn't die to shock or spray. You should only splash for red to get the alphas out. Turn 3 alphas or turn 4 carnage tyrant isn't unrealistic with Kinjalli's caller, drover and ranging raptors that's how you deal with hydras and were I see the true power of the dinos being.
I was hoping that you would do better (only watched the first 2 matches so far). This confirms my fears that Dinos are not tier 1. I played around with Naya and r/g and neither seem to be able to compete with RamRed, Temur Energy, or Constrictor. Just seems to need more card draw and better removal.

But idk, like they still seem like they have a lot of powerful cards, just idt anyone quite has a functional shell for them yet? Least not one that's competitive, I wanna see how they'll interact with the current decks in standard. I'm excited for pirates if only because next to spirits faeries are my favorite tribe and pirates seem like kind of the heirs to their weird tempo evasive vibe X3
You could've put in other cards for ramp. Like hour or the three drop fetch land or it cycles for 2. And take out those useless 2 drop Dino cost 1 less.

why do people keep thinking dinos are a good deck? they just consistently lose. every person i have seen has been on a losing record with the deck, tyrant just dosnt beat gearhulks. sure the deck is "ok" against blue white, but there are too many wraths in standard to worry about and the deck just dosnt live up to the hype.
Watching 2 different people playing these 2 different versions of the "Dinosaur deck". First was naya ramp dinos with Frank and Lepor or w/e and then this one. Both have just gotten slaughtered because this dino deck is absolute garbage. Honestly the only good card in the deck are the Ripjaw's and then have 2-3 Carnage Tyrants for the late game. Focus the rest of the deck only turns 1-3. Not a big standard fan but it seems like the energy and counters decks just dumpster this deck 100%. The dinosaur deck just seems like a shitty casual "Timmy" deck and really that's basically all it is. Also, the Ballistas are completely random and out of place, they aren't good in this deck whatsoever. Just because they're good in one deck (constrictor) doesn't mean they're good in any deck. Take them out they're nearly useless. You should be running 4x abrade, period. Abrade is one of the best cards in standard as it deals with early threats and kills all the big artifacts in the format. As for the Reg Alpha's, Glorybringer is far better. FAR BETTER not even a comparison between the two cards. In a format where all the removal spells is absolutely terrible and usually only hits for 3, having that option for 4 damage removal tied to a powerful evasive creature with haste? should be your 4 of as a 5 drop. It outright kills the Reg Alphas and swings in for 4 damage. Build a version of the deck with the only dinos being Ripjaws, and like 2-3 Tyrants. The rest of the cards are garbage.

The second match is a good example of why Carnage Tyrant isn't that good. We have a 5 drop that is bigger.
