You are my hero. Please can you help me understand why my Int16 output file has 1 to 1 and not 0 to 1 raster values. My roads roads show just fine as a raster with the correct resolution and burned as expected. I am only worried about the values stored in the raster.
Thank you, seriously. I was converting a raster (0 and 1) values to vector. Data carried over, but when I tried converting the vector back to raster I was losing all the 0 data.
Thanks for the your explanation. I would just add that it is crucial that shapefile layer be in the same referential system. I have used an exported OpenStreeMap shape file that was positioned in the same qgis "visual" referential system but failed every time. A simple test with a new shapefile created at the same ref return the expected result. So after verifying the original referential system I spot the problem.
Thanks for you video. The GDAL Rasterize helped me after trying the Raster and the v.to.ras. GDAL conversion worked great.

Hello, if I dont have a raster I want to burn the information into yet how do I know the width and height I should give to my pixel?
