I love your platter. Did you know, if you have an oil slick, mark, or you want to press down on your resin at “Finger Print Stage” you can easily touch your resin if you have rubbing alcohol on your fingers... or pour a little on your piece and rub gently until alcohol evaporates... and your piece will smooth and blemish free.
Thank you so much for the kind shout out and thank you foe trusting me to work though potential solutions with you. As I imagined it would be it is stunning. You did yet again absolutely beautiful work. Bravo 👏 thank for sharing and thanks for keeping creating. FYI my stain glass projects are coming along nicely hopefully you will enjoy that video when I finally finish it. Also watching the intro so make me want to rush back to WA, just 2 more years to go. Any how I am Sharon and I am digressing again 😂
When you talk to them, they chatter back! It's so charming. One of my favorite memories of Oz when waking up one beautiful morning in the mountains and hearing a kookaburra. So beautiful!
OH MY WORD!! I saw the title and I just had to forward to the unwrapping part! Every time I believe I’m so creative, you go and come up with something so extraordinary like this!! WOW JULIE!! Absolutely brilliant!! The colors are gorgeous, of course I’m partial to blues!! Now I have to go watch from the beginning!! 😝😍
I suggest using disposable eye droppers for the individual colors. They are easier to control than even a pastry tube because they have reverse suction pulling the wild drops back into the dropper. This was a fantastic first attempt! I will be doing this project to make gifts for my more art conscious friends.
Julie, I love seeing the birds and the greenery sitting in Minneapolis with 6 inches of snow. The bowl turned out beautiful. I love the color variation.
I was going to say this. I make my home made vitamines in capsules with pipettes and it goes very well, I know it has no relation to this but it is a very small space... I saw people cover small areas of resin with pipettes and it worked.
Merry merry King of the bush is he.....Laugh Kookaburra, Laugh Kookaburra, gay your life must be! I learned this song in first grade in Texas.....That was a long, long time ago. For some reason, I started singing this song this very morning. Thank you for your channel and for sharing your adorable guests. I enjoy your laughter and they do too!
Awww, I love kookaburras and magpies! Reminds me of home. I wish I could come back and see my family. That looks like a beautiful spot you have there!!!
You did such a beautiful job. It was very creative and innovative and no one else is doing this you have started a new friend! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent and God bless you!! Well, I see he already has. I'm sure he will bless you more. Until the next video I will be watching thank you ☮️ Jurny
I would have looked at the patience required to fill in all of those individually and straight away said NO!! But you show us that by putting in time and effort, you can produce amazing things. You are not just an inspiring artist but an inspiring person too 💕
I’m new at resin so I’m catching up on old post. I don’t know this may be my favorite ! I absolutely love the kookaburra. I’m born and raised in Florida and used to our migrant birds and exotic lookin spoonbills but what a treat yours are. Thanks for that.
WoW! Julie you have the best and most creative ideas. This bow turned out beautifully. I don’t think I would have ever seen a dollar store place mat and thought to make a resin bowl out of it. Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas.
Need a “Love this “ button as well as a “like”. Amazing idea and inspiring. Wish I live in Australia so I could come watch meet you and buy some of your moulds. X
Masking tape has been used to back resin pieces to peel off later. It might be less labor intensive than hot gluing the edges down. It can also prevent bleeding between petals. For future reference. Looks really cool. And the waving on the edges actually makes it look even cooler. Great piece. Btw, I'm in the states, the only candy corn I've heard of is pure sugar and offered mainly at Halloween. Maybe a different country calls it that?
Hi Julie from Canada. You are such an inspiration to me. Now I have a new hobby. Made few pieces with my grand daughters and we all had so much fun. Thank you. 😘❤❤ love all your arts
Thank you for sharing pictures/ activities with the wonderful Australian wildlife. I’ve never seen a real Kukaburrow before. I love the cockatoos & other birds. Just wonderful!!
Yes I totally agree, I love your accent. My friend at work is from Australia too, she sounds like you even though she has been living in Ontario, Canada for more than 20 years.
There is a lot you can do like this. Wind chimes would be beautiful. I think you find the perfect way to do this and more ideas will flourish. Making replacement lamp shades would be a great idea. Replacement jewels for the dinner candles.
Hi ! Here I am sitting in India, ma'am, and, watching this video felt like a fantastic substitute to YOGA ! ! ! I really admired the wonderful delicateness and dexterity of your fingers when you removed the plastic paper ! What a success ! I hope to watch many other demonstrations of 'handicraft' work ideas that you are going to imagine in the future ! Keep it up !. . . and, Thank You ! Those were some wonderful and peaceful minutes that I spent, sitting like a statue in front of the computer screen ! No ! No ! 55 years old is not old... I felt like a small child, completely fascinated. . . Thank you once again !
You’re amazing! Your platter is beyond beautiful! I love that you’re teaching us problem solving skills. I only started looking at your videos last night. I couldn’t stop looking at them! I’m going to try my first piece soon. I love your work a lot!May God continue to bless you and the work of your hands. Thank you sooo much ♥️🙏🏽🌹
I just automatically hit like. No need to guess if it's something I want to see!😂 excellent idea and beautiful results! And, yes, I rushed right over to Amazon and found this pattern in a set of 12 in 4 different colors. I had to.
What an awesome idea! What if you could glue a couple of the silver placemats together to make it thicker? Probably wouldn't work unless they were flat, I suppose. Super fun to watch you! Thank you for the new ideas and inspiration ✨
As I was watching I kept thinking the same thing! Attach two mats and then you'd have the silver trim on both sides of the bowl. And my how it really looks like stained glass! Would love to see this with more of the transparent inks. I admire your patience and perseverance! Beautiful piece!😊
I love it, love it, love it I feed my birds also, so I think this is awesome!!! And I truly do love that you start your videos off with the animals, it’s an extra treat for me!!!❤
I did something similar with lead-lighting. I used it to, more or less, "draw" a mandala. After the lead-lighting cured, I filled in the rest with resin and then formed a bowl. It turned out beautifully, but what a tedious pain in the arse!!
I just love your birds. Love watching you feeding them. I always appreciate you sharing your birds. You need that clear sticky paper that they use for Transferring lettering from cutouts from the Cricket cutter or clutter bug. If I find out the name ill let you know. It leaves no residues. Your papertowel and tape inserts are perfect and you can use them again. I just love this bowl and can't wait to see it dry. I am absolutely shocked that the hot glue even came of without tearing up your project. I would have never used hot glue. I am so glad it came off. That is absolutely beautiful. It's really nice that the back looks nice also. You are a true artist because you are not afraid to try new things. You always have your artistic mind going. You see art in everything. I'm always thinking what can I do with that or will that make something.
All of your videos are amazing and you are simply amazing. You have taught me soooo much and I'm very appreciative of always sharing the best ideas. Thank you. Everything you do is great. Now I have to teach myself patience in order to try some of the things that you have posted. Simply awesome artist!!
LOVE seeing the Kookaburras!!! Thanks so much for sharing them with us, over on the other side of the world. ;-) I never realized their Vocalizations were so Incredible! They're really Good Sized birds too! They're Fantastic!

Aw thank you for those tips! Will have to try that next time I get in a pickle lol 😄
Yep, this works. I have poked my resin prematurely many many times. lol..
@jaxmaria Thank you for sharing that!
Thank you!
Ha! You probably just saved my sanity with that tip! :)

Be glass and soak in 91% alcohol. I try to never use one use plastic, silly I know but what the heck.
I’ve seen these placemats and always wondered what could be done with them. Your idea was brilliant. Thank you for sharing
You are such a motivated and talented artist! Thank you so much for sharing your blessings!
Julie, I love seeing the birds and the greenery sitting in Minneapolis with 6 inches of snow. The bowl turned out beautiful. I love the color variation.

@@demingfan1 Oh Wow that is awesome. Are you into resin big time? I have just started very recently so am learning everyday.
Your videos just bring me delight! Love the feathered friends and their chatter. Beautiful Bowl! such a wonderful Idea.
You’re a awesome Artist! two thumbs up
Beautiful ❤️I Love it. I feed the birds to. Love to watch my birds 🙏
Next time you use something like that, fill the sections with a pipette/eyedropper.
I was going to say this. I make my home made vitamines in capsules with pipettes and it goes very well, I know it has no relation to this but it is a very small space... I saw people cover small areas of resin with pipettes and it worked.
Or a nice size plunger syringe minus needle
You beat me to it! I am as going to tell her the exact same thing. Or a medicine syringe. They have different sizes and free at the pharmacy ☺️
I was gonna say this exact same thing lol
Exactly what I was going to suggest! LOL

Wow! A lot of work! It’s so beautiful. I’d say it’s worth all of that hard work!! Thank you for sharing your kookaburra’s with us.
wow... you are a patient lady! that was an amazing project and it looks beautiful Julie... looks like stained glass....
I would have looked at the patience required to fill in all of those individually and straight away said NO!! But you show us that by putting in time and effort, you can produce amazing things. You are not just an inspiring artist but an inspiring person too 💕
Yes, she has the patience of a saint!
It is beautiful. You have a lot of patience. But it is worth it. I love to watch you. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.
You’ve only been doing resin for 7 months?? Natural talent!
Cover the bottom of the other bowl with plastic. Sit it inside and add H2O for weight to help hold it in place.
Perfect suggestion😊 I made a cake tray with this placemat and would love to do a bowl. Your idea makes total sense. Thanks❤
I’m new at resin so I’m catching up on old post. I don’t know this may be my favorite ! I absolutely love the kookaburra. I’m born and raised in Florida and used to our migrant birds and exotic lookin spoonbills but what a treat yours are. Thanks for that.
Beautiful Julie! What an artist you are. I love watching you create. The colors on this piece are perfect!
WoW! Julie you have the best and most creative ideas. This bow turned out beautifully. I don’t think I would have ever seen a dollar store place mat and thought to make a resin bowl out of it. Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas.
I think the crinkling of the plastic created a beautiful stained glass effect. I love this.
I liked that you didn't give up.
Thank you for sharing your neighborhood Kookaburras! I loved the whole video ( of course) but they were my favorite part 😊
Was amazing ball great ideas and I love always watching you aren’t you are amazing thank you. With love Elana

Hi I like your work just want to know what's working time of the resin
You can be very proud of this dish.... I absolutely love it....
❤️🌈❤️Wow, Julie it looks like leaded glass work. How you continue to outdo yourself it just amazing! What an artist and inspiration to us all.
Lovely yard! Could see myself sitting out there early mornin w/my coffee,
This reminds me of doing crafts with my nana when I was a kid
What a fabulous idea! I adore creative people. Kudos to you!

From one Julie to another...fabulous!!!
I’m amazed at your ideas!!! Great job!
Very pretty! Love to watch your videos and the birds, doggies...
Gorgeous 😍😍😍 Looks like stained glass!
Ruffled stained glass!!! Just spectacularly beautiful!
You could try using pipettes for more control.
Absolutely gorgeous Julie! You’re a huge inspiration in all you do. And I love watching you with your birds and dogs.
Yes I totally agree, I love your accent. My friend at work is from Australia too, she sounds like you even though she has been living in Ontario, Canada for more than 20 years.
Love all of your crafts Julie, so interesting.
Really beautiful
Very beautiful!
No nit-picking! Its a great project. Who doesn't always need a new fruit bowl? I'd love some red & yellow in it too! Another fun idea!
Every time you open a mica powder I instinctively hold my breath. Almost like I’m afraid if I breathe and cause the powder to go flying. Hahaha 🤦🏼♀️
That’s exactly what you should do or wear a mask. Mica powder can be lethal to your lungs.
There is a lot you can do like this. Wind chimes would be beautiful. I think you find the perfect way to do this and more ideas will flourish. Making replacement lamp shades would be a great idea. Replacement jewels for the dinner candles.

A food syringe aka flavor injector might help give more control to drips. You can find them at most box stores but there's more sizes online.

I love seeing your bird moments along with your art🧡 it makes my heart happy 😊
I love your art and I love your care for these beautiful birds!
I'm from Florida and we don't have this bird but it's still my favorite! I can do a very good imitation of this bird. I learned it from Steve Irwin.
Very pretty and delicate. Like resin-lace. Love your fantastic ideas.
I just automatically hit like. No need to guess if it's something I want to see!😂 excellent idea and beautiful results! And, yes, I rushed right over to Amazon and found this pattern in a set of 12 in 4 different colors. I had to.
I always auto like her videos! Lol
This is beautiful. I am a newbie, found using a pipette easier for small places, wish one day I will be able to do beautiful work like you.
A pipette would be great for those tiny areas. There are pointed cotton swabs for makeup artists that are really helpful for cleanup.
Very stunning work art.
I love your work of arts.
Thank you for sharing 👍😘🌹
They have silicone medicine droppers too so u can do small drops of resin
Yes me too saying the same thing, an eye dropper bottle easy to pour in or syringe. Gorgeous plater well done. I love it

HELLO from Colorado USA. Love your birds. There lovely. This is be lovely I can tell already.
I want to try using a pipette when pouring resin into those small intricate pieces it might help some great work love your videos
I love it, love it, love it I feed my birds also, so I think this is awesome!!! And I truly do love that you start your videos off with the animals, it’s an extra treat for me!!!❤
love how this turned out !
Can I say that I love the intro of your videos? I had to show my husband lol. He goes yes honey it's beautiful LOL.
I did something similar with lead-lighting. I used it to, more or less, "draw" a mandala. After the lead-lighting cured, I filled in the rest with resin and then formed a bowl. It turned out beautifully, but what a tedious pain in the arse!!

The Kookaburras said thank you for feeding them and being so friendly to them! 💐💐

Or turn the bowl upside down for a more rounded outcome.
If Julia did that the colours would be on the outside of the bowl, not on the inside!
Stunning!!!!! You are SO patient.
you can't sit that bowl in the sun can you? Me trying to make this bowl is me and a xanex getting together for a couple blind dates.
You= happy accidents are amazing and motivate me to challenge myself to try to do more! Thank you!
Watching you pull off the hot glue gave me so much anxiety.
I'll drink to that!
I really like that the colors stayed separate!! It's beautiful
