    5:04 Answer to your question:
Yes, almost all Malaysian love to eat fishcake (Odeng). We put fishcake in Char kueyteow or Fried Beehoon too.
I think there is handmade fishcake in Malaysia too. Malaysia is multiracial country, there is chinese, malay, indian and more races. Maybe you feel familiar because Char kueyteow is Chinese cuisine🤔

Yes Jiyeon you are correct its not authentic mainly like what you said its catered more towards a koreans taste locally. But you have to try the real thing in Malaysia. Its truly malaysian authentic food especially the penang char kueh teow (origin of this local fried flat rice noodles the best in one of malaysia states called Pulau Pinang or Penang in english its one of a kind and does not taste like pad thai : ). As for the Laksa hmm still malaysia have a few varieties 1. Curry Laksa 2. Assam Laksa 3. Nyonya Laksa so must try only in malaysia! Do make a trip to malaysia for vacation and look, see, feel, taste for yourself! You will be amazed! Cheers!
