  • Hey everyone! In this video, we’re talking about the importance of fixing HVAC problems early before they become bigger issues-especially in the middle of winter. One of the best ways to avoid emergency calls is by changing common parts during preventative maintenance.
We'll cover key parts like probes, thermocouples, and flame sensors, which often go bad over time. These small components can cause big problems if left unchecked. By replacing them early, you prevent unnecessary breakdowns and save yourself and your customers from the hassle of mid-winter repairs.
Proactively changing these parts doesn’t make you a bad person or overly cautious-it makes you a smart HVAC professional! Catching these issues before they happen ensures the system runs smoothly when it's needed most.
So, if you want to avoid callbacks and keep your HVAC systems in top shape, this video is for you. Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and leave a comment. Let’s keep things running smoothly

    I was 5th grade, 😢 I'm older than you 😢
I'm hoping your kid is doing well and glad to see a video from ya!
I agree, swap out flame sensors if possible go out soon. I had no heat in winter for 24hrs. It was awful. Oven on high setting, heater core in living room. I was prepared to die in some sort of fire explosion if needed til repaired!! Never want to experience that again... And I love the cold! But then there is too cold. Specially for pipes!

Thank you for sharing your 9/11 memories. Also, I agree that when it comes to maintenance, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. 😊

You have a bright future in our trade. Good attitude, pay attention to the small details is so important. I've retired after 35+ yrs. Just remember you can do the most perfect PM get into your service van and control that worked perfectly can take a dump before you even get home.
Stuff just happens. Good luck treat every service call like it's your own home .

Dang... always right on with the advice there mate! Yet, I've never once seen a flame sensor go bad... dozens of hot surface igniters... but not flame sensors.

Do you need to get approval for the small parts, or do you have a DNE amount? Or does your maintenance agreement include?
