really don't known why you guys haven't gotten more traction here (youtube ). do more vids like these, we want to know your experience so we can compare it to our own.
Great insights! I was considering the new crf300 rally as a dualsport / adventure bike. That would obviously be the European version, but inthinkni may lean a little more to roadworthiness by now...
A point missed in the video, is that if you are happy to just be out there "doing stuff". Then the Honda CRF 250L is great. But for the people trying to improve their skills or get the most our of "doing stuff", then Honda CRF 250L holds you back. I don't talk enough about the super casual rider in this video who just out to enjoy themselves.
Get rid of the judder spring and replace with a standard friction plate , add sump guard and radiator guard , upgrade suspension front and rear , change rear sprocket to 42 teeth and then you have the perfect capable reliable off road / adventure bike . £500 spent
I did the same thing, went with an off road yss shock and KTec fork spring and the 42 tooth rear sprocket but it’s still not great off road….. my mates FE350 is way way better but it’s double the price and he has to service it every 3 rides! I think it depends a lot on where you ride and how much money you want to spend

Front + rear shocks under 500 pounds?
I am not familiar with a shock upgrade. You have a link?
