You have the best information out there ! I was worried about my Olive horned nerite snails as they all stopped moving around and eating. We just got them yesterday through the mail and they traveled hundreds of miles and were very active eating everything after arrival. I love my snails and Neocaradina shrimp and was worried about them. Thanks for your expertise as I had to listen to many videos to finally come upon yours.
As a young man I hated snail's. I had gotten 2 ramshorn snail for a 10 gallon tank. 1 morning I woke up and I had 486,000 of them. ( Lol ). Give or take a few, but now that I'm an old fart I know how to take care of any over population problems. But Nerite snails are just gorgeous, and many of us have found the olive green one's to be the hardiest and best cleaner's.
The Nerite snails won't breed in freshwater. But like the Ramshorn snail, you have 2 and the next morning you have 486,942. Give or take a couple. Some snails are slow breeders, while others only breed based on how much food they have. Checkout Cory from Aquarium Co-op, I know he's done at least a couple of video's on them all.
