@@theflamingfreezer8478 I’ve always wanted to see the ships talking in their native language or with their native accented into the language they’re talking. That’s why I actually liked their anime dub.
Don’t get me wrong, my favourite voice actresses are “Double Yui” which are Belfast’s and Enterprise’s VAs and I love their other characters too. I would never get tired of listening to them.
I just like that they speak English but they all have different accents. American English from Eagle union, British English from Royal Navy and German accent with Iron blood ships. It was a bit odd for Sakura ships to have American voices but hey, a dub is a dub. And that’s what I mean when I said I’m excited for English.
Besides, we both know it won’t be a permanent change. The game itself doesn’t have an English voice option unlike other games so I don’t see them using English forever. I’m happy regardless of the voices. I’m just happy for more Azur Lane content.

All things considered, my commissioned self would've guessed she would've given you MREs or, failing that, taken all the chocolate cookies from said MREs and put them in a box and wrapped it up.

Grew up as a naval history geek loving the story of Enterprise. Got into anime when I got older and...what a time to be alive.
It’s incredible how she’s portrayed in the anime. Really reflects her history. Going out to battle despite grave wounds, fighting on repeatedly despite almost dying many times. Dying and coming back stronger and defeating Akagi and Kaga ruthlessly. Then in the game, where Yorktown dies after Midway, and she gives Grim (the Grim Reapers) to Enterprise. While the Sakura Empire fears her, and knows what The Grey Ghost is capable of. It hit so hard when she reunites with Yorktown and Hornet again. The game and anime’s lore/story reflected the legendary ship well. Doing a great job at incorporating the history, into the game’s story.

As an Eagle Union commander, you don't know how happy this makes me especially with my 2 "go-to" carriers from the faction.

This is because all people outside Japan are worthless for voice acting. All voice acting should be entrusted to the Japanese alone, even for non-Japanese media.

I am surprise by the English voices at first and after a few rewatch the voices for Enterprise and Essex are warming up to me. It was a bit awkward at first but I can see this as a good first step to introduce more English voices in the future. Yostar have already introduce English voices with Arknights with great success and I can definitely see Azure Lane following suit.
