I wasn’t initially super impressed with her freestyle, however, the more I watch it the better it gets and the more I appreciate it. This dance is a grower for sure.
same, the first time i saw it i was like, okay, cool! But this second time, i enjoyed it sooo much

I one of maks’s other videos he talks about importance of camera angles and how the camera men make it look .. I wasn’t impressed by anyoneeee’s freestyle but after rewatching them all she did have the best one and it was a lot of choreography. But this season you definitely have to re watch dances to analyze deeper the moves etc. Which sucks but this one after rewatching, was the best freestyle.
@@april6081 I so agree, when I watched live I wasn't impressed with any of them either (except Nelly's was funny as hell to watch lol). I never thought maybe it's the camera angles!
Me EXACT thought when she was breathing heavy and looking at the camera at the end “SHE LISTENED TO MAKS!!!!” haha! Yessssss
Hahah me too- except it was part of the performance. In the movie that’s what happens!

I loved it... I think Artem choreographed a really fantastic dance to Kaitlyn’s strengths and I think Kaitlyn’s strengths are different than many other contestants past or present...she is just a different kind of performer( I can’t explain it really , some call it boring or not giving enough, but I wouldn’t say that at all, but yet have no idea what I’d call it. ).
She’s understated and not “POW in your face!” and POW is usually what wins DWTS, but she brought something different, and it worked for her! But that is why she needed the out of breath, smile of relief and happiness moment that was at the end.
This freestyle totally screamed “DWTS SEASON 29 WINNERS!” And like Val said, it was the best dance of the season!
They both did amazing and Kaitlyn definitely took your pointers! So happy this moment happened for them. ❤️

Hahah the breathing heavy when I saw it I was like, oh my gosh she is literally implementing what Maks said! But then everyone commented that it was from the movie, the breathing heavy at the end... she was acting lol

Best freestyle tonight but definitely seen better as a group of finalists seasons before .. but I totally agree Maks she finally broke lose on this one and the most important one !! I wish she could have loosened up more every week !! She was too serious which was probably nerves but she’s too good to worry about that ..

Max, hello from Ireland. Big respect, I've been a fan of yours, Peta, Val and Jenna for the longest time. Your season, and win with beautiful Meryl was amazing. Belated congrats. Now! Favor to ask you. I would love to hear what your opinion would be on Artem's season with Kara in the UK, and their win, in 2010. Dance @ Co, could do a slot on it. Their season and journey was one of the best, and a bit of a breakthrough season on strictly, to be honest. It paved the way for great seasons to follow. Their dances are watched again and again. They were spectacular, I thought anyway. She took a lot of grief here, after that, and I think it was so unfair. They did a great job, and was worthy winners. Artem is a special guy, such a great teacher, and Kara is such a talent. They were never celebrated, the way they should have been. Maybe you could do something about that, and go through some of their dances. Kind regards.
Hello Patrick. I have watched Kara and Artem on TH-cam. You are right they were amazing. This is a great idea to have Maks review their dances. Would also be interested to see Maks comment on some of his dances that he choreographed with some of his previous dance partners.
This freestyle won the mirrorball for Kaitlyn!

This was Artem's first freestyle and he killed it. After seeing it I knew if Jenna didn't bring it they were gonna lose. And their freestyle was boring
It seemed boring because it was right after Kaitlyn and Artem's. But it wasn't that boring.

Yep, she was out of timing... but I think their freestyle concept was probably the best and that's what won them the final.
One good dance with a mistake...well I guess that's what the judges wanted..I don't know. Congrats Artem, you did amazing in all the dances
Nev had a few mistakes.
@@bethanyjohnson9800 if you want to talk over all dances, Kaitlin didn't do too good as Nev..He was better than her over all..artem had to drag kaitlynn through out all of her dances. She only had one great dance and that's about it
@@lauraswan8647 and that is your opinion to think that. Everyone has their own opinion because I wasn't whelmed by Nev. I never was not one dance I was like Wow. While Kaitlyn wasn't the greatest dancer, Artem's choreography was astounding. I can't lie and say I voted for Kaitlyn because I voted for Artem.
@@bethanyjohnson9800 true, we are all different and see things differently. I actually congratulated Artem ONLY...He did extraordinary and carried kaitlynn through out the dances; that's why I congratulated him and not her..I agree he did amazing! Happy that at least he won

Honestly, this was the most underwhelming freestyle I have seen. Basic. I also love Artem too but I was not impressed :(
You’re correct! Boring again. Justina actually had the best freestyle. I would even put Nelly second even with the mistakes.
