If an Android phone's performance is 10% better than an iPhone's, its chip might be 15-30% more powerful because Android games are often poorly optimized, making the chip work harder.
It's not optimization. Android doesn't have proper graphics API. iPhones use Metal API, Androids use OpenGL. Metal is a much better API that can fully utilize the hardware and balance power distribution. OpenGL is an ancient API with very basic power handling. So it's actually android's fault for lagging behind iPhone, don't blame the game developers.

The power draw is not a fair comparison. Every SOC has increased power draw the higher it goes in temps. The iPhone likely had MUCH higher temp considering its passively cooled. This test proves sustained performance, which is obviously going to be better on active cooling even if the chip is worse. Also you are quoting MINIMUM FPS, not 1% low. Minimum FPS can be a single stutter during 20 minutes of gameplay. The 1% low is not calculated that way. Would be interesting to see 120FPS limit for both devices. iPhone on passive cooling once, and on active cooling for comparison purposes.

Bro... This is just a 10min test. In a 10min test, manual cooling doesn't demonstrate a significant power consumption reduction effect. Instead, you should know that activating the cooling fan increases power consumption by only 0.5W. The increased power consumption due to passive cooling for the 8e is 5.4W, and for the iPhone 16pm is 6.4W. The iPhone is not as efficient compared to the 8e.

It seems like Snapdragon has finally surpassed iPhones in performance. This video is easier to appreciate with context as the previous generation struggled with WuWa for extended periods on max settings. The iPhone 16 Pro had a slight improvement but the 15 Pro performed better than the previous Snapdragon model. So it went from a low of around 40 to 48 fps and it increased the average FPS. On iPhones, the battery does impact how long you could keep the performance going. Keep in mind that WuWa is more optimized for iPhone so it is given an advantage. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 8 Elite has made strides. It went from a low of mid 30s to a stable 58 FPS. It not only leaves the previous Snapdragon chipset in the dust but it also decisively wins against the iPhone 16 Pro, winning in FPS drops, temperature, GPU and battery on the Red Magic 10 Pro. It shows why the "very high" resolution is only available for the Elite. WuWa performance tends to suffer more during the co-op events, raids and some story events. Overall, this is great news for WuWa fans and for the industry in general.
I agree! The only big question is will Samsung follow RedMagic’s lead. This is my main question and excitement for next month. I really hope Samsung can deliver. What RedMagic has done is very impressive, but what will be even more impressive is for a non-gaming phone to pull off this same performance and efficiency. Next month will be very exciting.

I agree. It really all depends on the phone. I've seen opposite results with other SD elite devices like iQOO 13 or Xiaomi 15. I just hope Samsung follows RedMagic formula.
Not only you get lower power consumption, the battery capacity in the RedMagic is much bigger, you would get a 70-75% more battery life playing that game in the RedMagic. First time I seen a phone clearly win against the iphone
Its not shocking that the gaming phone performed better at gaming tho is it😅 would be interesting to know if there would be a differense if the iphone had cooling tho. Clearly the red phone is a gaming beast😎
Hey i also wanna admit that samsung lowers its performance when it gets over 44 degrees, you can turn it off from the gaming hub> game booster> labs (u will see it turned off, just turn it on) but in case u will reach higher degrees, hope it will help u
iPhone 16 Pro Max battery capacity 4685 mAh RefMagic 10 Pro has a battery capacity of 6500 mAh and it consumes even less energy when playing even with a fan..
iPhone can't beat the 8E. It's losing to the 8E in both performance and efficiency across all games. Except for a few games like WZ that aren't yet optimized for the 8E, the 8E is likely to win in almost every game

Metal is a much better API that can fully utilize the hardware and balance power distribution. OpenGL is an ancient API with very basic power handling. So it's actually android's fault for lagging behind iPhone, don't blame the game developers.
@@glorious240fps6 android is not lagging lil bro 💀 did you watch the video where he emulated resident evil a real PC game on red magic 9 pro while the iphone ran the watered down potato graphics version specifically made for iphone ??? And yet the red magic 9 pro kept up while looking 10 times better AND TRULY emulating the game literally emulating real PC complex textures

@@glorious240fps6 its entirely developers fault since vulkan is way better than opengl and only a few devs have shifted to vulkan

I see why snapdragon named it elite. It truly deserves it. Outperforming the apple cpu in both power and efficiency is a commendable feat.
Why on iphone 15 pro max in your video at the same settings and resolution gpu usage vas 59%, and now on iphone 16 pm its an 81%. Seems very strange, or settings is not equal? Answer pls
Increased res and graphics in new update. Also res is higher than RedMagic with iPhone
@DameTech Thanks, so what is the resolution on redmagic? 720p?
Can you also compare wuwa with sd 8 elite and 8 gen 3 i want to see how much its worth the improvement. If its possible you could get your hands on dimensity 9400 that would be great too
Finally Snapdragon 8 elite performance more powerful for GPU than bionik A18 pro 👍🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
More videos coming soon
Did you watch the video?😅
Kuro optimized this game further, do you have ps5 brother? You can make one more video over this when ps5 version drops
Why does the motion/movement of ios more fluid/smooth than android?
Correct. It's like android is 30-50fps and averaging in 30
WZM test needed after reloaded update btw nice and detailed video
Yes! That is the plan. Video/test should be uploaded Friday morning.
Test warzone mobile with both phones at lest 1h, very interesting to see the results
TEST WITH IQOO 13 ALSO 🔥
Sth doesn't add up. I knew the redmagic would be superior but not to this extent tho. I hate to ask this but like did you double check to see of the resolutions were the same or not?
Yeah I checked after the video and resolution is higher on iPhone
@@DameTech to what extent tho? Because if it's slightly higher than that matters less I guess
@@jarjarbinks8954 I think roughly 100p but not counting horizontal. Sorry I was in a rush to make the video and didn’t realize until it was too late
Interesting to note is that iphone consumed less power at 5.2 watts in high resolution in previous testing with s24 ultra
Since then resolution has been increased for both android n ios
@@mujeebhamid2670 no he mentioned on X that res is near 780 and in that test res was 864p
i wouldd love to see you test Punishing Gray Raven again some day ❤
The power draw is not a fair comparison.
@@Rockito912 Apple consume less power not because passive cooling but Apple silicon and Ios was more power efficient per watt then Lagdragon and Spydroid 🤣 Turks
There are reason why Turks locked behind iron wall in Ergenekon valley for hundred of years because their lack of Intelligence 🤣
Lmao study the fan design and see how much it cools
What is resolution in this game?
Is it just me or not?
Why iphone fps feel smoother than red magic despite both having the same fps?
I can see some little lag in red magic and doesn't feel smooth
Must be devs optimtzing iphone
Efficiency now on the android side! 😊
Took over a decade
@@EricDejuanOOOAgreed... I wouldn't recommend anyone an Android phone unless it's a 2025 / late 2024 flagship phone.
Only because of the dedicated cooling system of the Redmagic. Other android phones - no
Yeah on wuthering waves but can it beat 120 fps on genshin impact?
And Without using Efficiency chords because it doesn't have any.
I plan to get 16 pro, but after i see your video, im sold on red magic, 24/1Tb, and also half the price of iphone 😂
can you make a video about the z fold 6 gaming performance?
А где симметрика рамок вокруг экрана? Опять нижняя не симметрична у Red magic. У айфона всё супер в этом плане.
Hello! If you do the gaming test in genshin can you make every setting the same?
im kinda worried about the dust pilling up on the spinning fan.
This phone doesnt look like its designed to age well...
Why in online games in mobile run at low resolution ,graphics and low fps while in pc you could run at hight graphic 4k 120fps 8k even ?

so finally a gaming android phone beats iphone by a slight margin(considering temps and power consumption) as fps are same on both.
Thanks for this video ❤
Its not Water Resistant tho, a bit of water from rain inside that Fan region and its fcking Dead, Dead Magic Pro
Lol true 😂
iphone is so expensive it beat 99 percent of phones in the terms of HIGH PRICE
So iOS no longer is the most optimized for gaming. First it was just raw performance of androids being better without optimization, but now they have both?
yes its still the most optimised for gaming but this is a gaming phone. ifwe put the iphone aganst any other normal android it might actually win tho hard to say
@@gockartzz8272Dunno (atleast on the efficiency side)... The power consumption on Red Magic with the fan on was ~1 watt lower than the iPhone.
Phones without a fan would probably have even lower power draw.
iOS is still more optimized in general. No other android device will perform as well as the Redmagic. Not even the latest ROG.
Redmagic has an amazing cooling system while being able to use the snapdragon 8 elite much better than any other phone so far
@@phothewin6019Stop the 🧢...you clearly haven't watched snapdragon 8elite killing it in multiple android devices this month 😂
So the conclusion is: The 8 Elite GPU is more powerful as well as energy efficient than the A18 Pro. 😮
*But all depends on the optimization of the games or apps…
I agree. It really all depends on the phone. I've seen opposite results with other SD elite devices like iQOO 13 or Xiaomi 15. I just hope Samsung follows RedMagic formula.
Where are there videos @@DameTech
Facts! I really didn't expect the results to be good in rm10.
Please do the same test and both with coolers, I think the result would change quite a bit.
Not only you get lower power consumption, the battery capacity in the RedMagic is much bigger, you would get a 70-75% more battery life playing that game in the RedMagic. First time I seen a phone clearly win against the iphone
Do a 120 fps test on ipad pro M4
That is a great idea. I will add that to my list of tests!

Its not shocking that the gaming phone performed better at gaming tho is it😅 would be interesting to know if there would be a differense if the iphone had cooling tho.

Can you test zenless zone zero?? I kinda want this phone and if it runs zzz as well as it does wuwa then is a most
Can you make test with another games? Maybe Warzone?

iPhone can't beat the 8E. It's losing to the 8E in both performance and efficiency across all games. Except for a few games like WZ that aren't yet optimized for the 8E, the 8E is likely to win in almost every game
