First, he didn't seem to believe Kokubin managed to score against him, then he realised WTH, I gotta score now. Can u imagine these 2 sparring in the honbu dojo with no tournament rules. That would be a sight.

They can't hit with 100% of strenght, Shotokan Karate is an extremely dangerous style, some of this style hits could easily kill a person...but you people talk because you don't know Kokubun and Shiina, they are two of the most notorious Karate fighters of the 90's.
Karate have to stop fighting like this. Even they create sundome rule. This why oyama make kumite more powerful and effective. People said it's dangerous to make full body contacts. Well look at boxing, kick boxing, and Muay Thai. They said it's dangerous because u can be killed on one punch or kick. Human is not that weak. Look at kick boxing or even ufc. They don't fall just one strike. I prefer watch sumo or judo than watch this shit
Since you misspelled Karate and also have no fucking clue about brown belt being a Kyu decree and DAN being only used with black belt, I doubt you ever did Karate and surely aren't a brown belt.
It's a shobun ippon kumite match (which means one ippon - 1 point - can win the entire fight). It could be over in seconds if you make a mistake. It's a lot of mental play at game too. And you can see and feel the tension and pressure being applied. It may not look like much, but it's very difficult to remain calm in that situation and that's why even after not doing "anything" in the first part they're both sweating a lot 🙂
The intensity between the two of them was awful you can watch paint dry. The big guy was trying to intimidate the smaller guy and the way they were standing there their stance was awful. Both of them were heavily on their feet and instead of being a lighter using speed and power it would have been over but no they took their time. Karate is always been like that heavily on power not speed. You need the two combinations. Karate such a rigid style doesn't flow. It doesn't mean it's not a good Style...
The fat guy thought he was myamoto musashi... the young guy lanted some lovely zukis on fat guys face, poor performance gives shotokan a bad name, shotokan has a grate marketing and popularity made it self to the olymbics, but Okinawa Goju and other Rius including of coz Oyamas Kyokusin are the real deal!!
