BOS made some nice models. I bought several when they had the US based distributor American-Excellence. They closed a few years ago and BOS seems to not release to many new models in the last few years. I have to admit I am one of those eBay sellers that made a lot of money on these. Almost every Cadillac release you could count on selling out within 3-6 months and then selling it for double or triple the MSRP once it was sold out everywhere. I am shocked at what some of the older BOS models I have in my personal collection have sold for (like $2K plus!) but I genuinely like them and don’t really want to sell any of them. As a kid growing up in the early 90s I loved the American land yachts from the 70’s and 80’s and always dreamed of having them in models. Of course then these cars got 0 respect but 25 years later when BOS started making these I felt like a kid at Christmas. I hadn’t bought a model for 15 plus years but these are very special to me.
Thanks for the shout out big bro! Congrats on the model, I still got the red one (still collecting), also Props on the insanely detailed review on this one! Was not aware of some of the differences with the different color versions....Sick line up next the Caprice and the Lincoln! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👌💯💯💯
Enjoyed your video. A beautiful model. I really like the U.S cars of that period. Yesterday I received my first ever resin car model. It’s the 1/18 BoS 1972 Ford Taunus GXL. A model of a popular German car. I have to say I’m well pleased with it.
I'm so glad you like resin I do not care for it, the doors don't open the hoods don't open the trunk doesn't open so you really cannot appreciate the car inside and out. Honestly it's just plastic trust me it's very cheap to make
By all the love to your detailed video, and as I am a Cadillac fan, this sealed model is nothing for me. There are no opening parts, no view to the big Cadillac Engine, and at least the price. I have four Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz from 1959 in different colors from Maisto in 1/18 scale, which have more visible details. Okay, quality wasn't their strength at that time.
yeah i wish more diecast manufacturers would do luxury cars from the 70s and 80s, be it maisto, yat ming road signature or motormax but they all seem to have only gone as far as the early 60s, and then resumed from the 1990s. There's only a few exceptions like Anson's 1973 eldorado.
@@ImperialDiecast Very cool model, I agree with Helmut that at least the hood should open up though. Very cool piece anyway -also really dig your Impala and Mark V -man I would love to have those in my collection. I do have the 73 Eldorado "pace car" with mag tires you just mentioned - had it for 16-ish years I think. Has held up well on my China cabinet with some others on display there. BTW -that Deville platform ran from 77' to 92' actually,,,
When you get and receive a model bike this and in previous situations when the model is in heavy demand and just comes out you have to immediately go for it or else it's going to get sold out and you're going to be out a luck. These are perils for Diecast collectors of any scale you have to immediately bi model fast because the whole thing is face the pine supply and demand.
Some of your facts about styling history are incorrect. I own a 1989 brougham which I have owned since early 1993 that is almost identical to this model.

Resin cars have a better finish as diecast.
