The child of an addict should never drink when sad or angry, thats how you form terrible coping mechanisms that lead to addiction, beautiful song, heart breaking undertones, especially with the recent happenings.

Lisa Mlambo just because one may feel like there’s no other choice does not mean there isn’t another choice, everyone has a choice. The children of addicts have the especially difficult job of making the choice not to and find other better alternatives. Drinking or taking other substances is NEVER the only or best option. This is all coming from a person with a lengthy lineage of addicts, and what i said applies to everyone, drinking or other substances to cope is NEVER a good idea. Also You dont have to be the child of an addict to become an addict, there always has to be a first, the child of an addict is just more prone to addiction.
Lisa Mlambo as someone who has struggled with depression AND is the child of an addict i can totally understand that dark mentality but that is truly the most critical time to go in search for alternatives. trust me i know its easier to just give in to the quick fix, but in the long run its truly not a good option and THATS the mentality you need to force yourself to have, “yes this will make me feel better now, but what about later?”, you have to be able to push yourself to find better ways to feel better and cope or else you’ll always go back to that dark place when you’re not under the influence, so you’re right back where you started. I never said it was the most fun choice or the easy choice, but its the best choice to find more positive coping mechanisms, it wont be easy but it will be worth it when you find it.

it’s heartbreaking i had to hear this just now because she’s all over my feed, due to her struggling all by herself. i remember her on vine, youtube, her covers but she disappeared and i never got to watching her again. she’s so incredibly talented and could be so big if she was in a better state of mental health, bc she seems to love music. this song is beautiful. we CANNOT lose another soul.

damn she been trippin on her lives, i feel bad and she so underrated it pisses me off.
The worst part is that this has probably been going on for so long, and we’ve been so oblivious. It should’ve been concerning enough that she started to barely post, and also that almost every song mentions alcohol. Lately I’ve going down a bad path in my life, and it’s gotten to the point where I have no friends anymore, haven’t gone outside in weeks, and all I want to do is kill myself, but no one checks up on me anymore. It makes me so sad to realize that this is probably what’s been going on with her... and I would never wish that feeling upon anyone because it’s so isolating. I truly hope she gets help, because she’s such a sweet person who deserves happiness. And if she recovers from this... maybe that means there’s hope for me. Maybe I’m not as hopeless as I thought I was. But who knows. I can’t just fix myself alone. I need friends, and unless a person has a support system, it’s almost impossible to recover... so idk really. anyways if you’ve read this far, thanks lol, this just became me rambling about my own problems. The main point is that I hope someone reaches out to her. And not just telling her to get help, but to offer a strong friendship. Because in the end, I know that’s the only thing that would save me. ❤️

I am so sorry you feel this alone... I am sending all my love to you. If your "friends" aren't supporting you it might be time to take the leap and put yourself out there and meet new people (even online). I truly hope you are able to get the support you need. Counselling also really helps, and if you are struggling to leave your house, there is online counselling but also lots of support websites you can go to, with people that you can talk to who are going or have gone through the same thing. Stay strong you deserve happiness too
In my experience, it's hard for people outside of a similar situation or trauma to reach out, and if they do-they may only go so far. I think the greater someone's suffering is, it creates more distance, which means it takes more courage from someone who isn't struggling to try to stand beside them. But it's not impossible to find support from someone who can't relate to your experience, or to find support from someone who can, or to find support from yourself. In my darkest time (which is not over yet, but evolving) there were conversations that only I could have with my pain, healing that only I could provide. It was-and is-fucking hard. Idk if that makes sense or helps anything at all. My point is, I can relate to what you said and I have hope for you (and Lia). Against all odds, I have hope for myself too. I feel like I'm walking blindly in an entirely unfamiliar place with a body/mind that I can't fully trust, and that's very scary to me, but I'm gonna keep walking. I hope you do too. And I hope Lia does
I know how you feel. I was there. I live in a basement apartment & my room has no windows. Staying inside under the covers in the darkness for days was comfortable. But luckily my family forced me to come outside. I promise you it helps. Just try a short 10 min walk and see how you feel. Then if you want to, try calling a friend or someone you trust to hang out and talk OR not talk, maybe just watch a movie or youtube vids. Then I promise SLOWLY you will feel better maybe even strong enough to apply for a new job. That's what I did & I met my best friend at that job, who has changed my life for the better. I don't wanna think about what would have happened if I never left my room. You are loved. It might be by someone you haven't even met yet. So never give up. XoXo

Her songs are absolutely incredible. The fact that she’s going through so much is heart breaking. She’s so incredibly talented.
Lia has been struggling way before the recent live streams got attention. I'm not saying this is the cause, but her going downhill really seemed to start after the breakup with Jc Caylen. I remember when they broke up Lia didn't post anything for about a month, and then when she did you could see she had lost a ton of weight and looked really unhealthy. Then she disappeared for months and didn't post anything, then she came back and was so different, she cut her hair, hung out with different people and was publicising her drug use more. I remember a live stream she did in October last year where she was reading poetry she wrote and wasn't acting erratic or anything. But she was sad, and her friends were with her and laughing in the background. There was a point where Lia quietly broke down with tears in her eyes while her friends were laughing and they did nothing. She honestly looked so utterly broken and depressed, and her friends weren't helping at all. It was like she had this vulnerable and sad persona on camera and with her friends she's like a carefree party girl. In that moment they just seem to choose to ignore her emotions, them and her current boyfriend encourage her to use drugs. And it's only got worse from there.
This is the kind of situation that ends up with a #ripliamariejohnson on Twitter unless she gets help from her real friends who actually care about her, and family who support her.
