      Wait what school's did so many attend that Black student's never hear of Black Codes which previously during Slavery were The Slave Codes?
      Since majority of my teachers were all--ADS those were the 1st lessons I came too learn about and it helped a lot my own mother was teaching me this History herself at home in addition too teaching me about God!

      @ TheYarbros: Ok, this is a great effort to tell a much-needed story about the black codes and how the American Government essentially reneged on promises made by Lincoln and the military to support the Black of the Souths with the emancipation efforts. However, there's another layer of the story that is still being kept from the masses and thus goes untold!! Unfortunately, this history lesson video does what most American History lessons do - which is to push out a version of the truth (history) that does NOT align wholly and completely with the contemporary facts of the time period. For example, we teach a history that ASSUMES that 15th Century Europeans were homogenously white!! As this video explains the identity of whites started in the new Colonies of the US, and thus it did NOT exist in Europe back then! Having said that it should be understood that the original settlers and indentured servants coming from Europe were NOT all white!! On the contrary many of them were converted Moors (Black Northwest Africans) and Hebrews that fled from the Iberian Peninsula at the vanquishing of the Moorish Empire in 1492! Moreover, it should be understood that MOST of the Irish and Scottish prisoners of war from the Protestant reform of England were blackamoors and/or melenated Europeans! You covered this in your video, however you continue to leave out that very IMPORTANT PART!! It should be pointed out that both identities of so-called Blackness and Whiteness did not exist until 1681 (black codes) so most of these peoples coming from European would have been simply classified as European and by what port they disembarked from (e.g. from England, Scottland, Spain, etc.). If you check the *original* manifests records of the vessels that were bringing these Europeans (especially from the UK) over to the colonies, you'll see that many of these men are clearly described as Black peoples (especially the so-called Black Irish)! You can reference the book..."Whence the Black Irish of Jamaica" for more details on this point. Also, please note that the earliest Portuguese, Spanish, and French settlers in the Colonies were from the Moorish stock of Europeans that came from Africa during the conquest of Andalusia and the Iberian Peninsula. Lastly, I'd like to point out that there were whole communities of so-called Black peoples that existed in ALL Of SOUTHERN EUROPE from Portugal to Italy which the classical writers (Greco-Romans) documented, but yet this topic is almost never discussed in any history classes?!? No need to wonder - why is that?!!! Luckily there are still a few European family crests, coats and arms, and heraldry books/manuscripts left as evidence and proof of reference for anyone who actually wants to do the research to look this stuff up (instead of claiming that its fantasy, and Afrocentric nonsense!)!!
      Why was all of that important? Well, it's to establish the fact that this effort to divide peoples along color lines did not just start with what happened in the Colonies, but it was an effort that also included reaching backwards into time to essentially erase the presence of the original Black Europeans from history!! This effort effectively made all Blacks, no matter where they originated from into the BLACK AFRICAN! This also included the indigenous Black Indians as well, rendering the native as simply.....just another Black from Africa (that's a whole other topic you can write volumes on)!
      So, when you talk about what "Hidden Black History Schools Will NEver Teach" you, you'll need to include the aforementioned from above as well!! If you need more sources on any of these facts please check out channels like Kaprooki, Kurimeo Ahau, Black-Is-History, Without History, Trillblack, Dante Forson, just to name a few. These content creators ALWAYS list their sources which you can look up and re-read for yourself to confirm.
      Please keep up the good work but there's more untold stories to reveal about the so-called Black peoples in the Americas (and Europe for that matter). The narrative that "they are ALL SIMPLY African peoples stripped from Africa shipped to Europe and the Americas to be slaves in the new world was a lie that was made up to further promote this notion of WHITENESS, effectively turning Europe into this homogenously WHITE LAND which IT NEVER WAS!!!! Melenated Black Peoples presence in Europe can be traced back to the Greco-Roman period and prior; all of southern Europe and as far North as the Netherlands were occupied by melenated black and brown skinned peoples!!!! Unfortunately, with the invention of so-called WHITENESS, as it pertains to classical and medieval Europe, these people had to be erased!!
      "Whole Truth" is what's need for ALL! Thank you!

      @TheYarbros You still unfortunately are calling all dark-skinned people africans. Chief Powhatan the leader of the land called Virginia at that time was a dark-skinned Indian. He had over 100 wives according to the English and John Smith described him as being a Black man. Look that up. So you're still pushing a white narrative that the white man bought the black man here on a boat so they still have you a little bit brainwashed. but it's a pretty good video I enjoyed it. However you still have some studying to do

    I love learning or gaining more insight into history. I recognize that time is limited but believe a few key points are critical. A pit stop at Johnson before moving to Nixon and Reagan would highlight the shift of parties specific to Black Republicans crossing over to the Democratic Party and how White Democrats transitioned to Dixiecrats before moving to the Republican Party in connection to Civil Rights. If I did not know the importance of that leap period, I would not know Nixon and Reagan were both representatives of the Republican Party that used the Southern Strategy to use coded language ( dog whistles) to create fear amongst white people. I have been researching my father’s side of the family back to my great great great grandfather to 1835 and during the course of researching him I have found the Household inventory listing him by name and age and wealth or value along with others. I have no words to describe that. Also discovered how land was given after slavery and how it was taken back in my area alone. It was ridiculous how many ithappened to. Didn’t realize we had a ““million man March” of our own as slaves had to walk from Virginia to Louisiana and points in between. Never thought of 40 acres in a mule is reparations but yeah that makes sense. It also makes sense as how it was taken away because there was angst over having to give up that land. Most of the land was uninhabited or considered a struggling soil. The stipulation was that some growth must be able to take place on the lands. They thought that blacks would follow in their stead and grow tobacco or cotton but many found lucrative investments in chickens and watermelons. Both were inexpensive crops to maintain, at the time, with high yields that pushed non-black and prejudiced blacks which were usually yt passing or NA, or dark Asian ancestry, out of black communities. Distribution companies were threatened to not do business owned anything unless that black owner allowed themselves to be controlled by the non-blacks in the area. When former president Andrew Johnson recinded Field Order 15 the government issues were not the only land and chattle collected. The government stole cattle, crops, additional purchased lands, homes which did not sit on the lands, cars trucks, machinery, and more. Then Andrew Johnson basically gave away what was stolen to poor non-black families.

    Malcolm X should have never been unjustly betrayed by Judas Goats and murdered during a authorized White Supremacist sanctioned public execution. The tremendous effect of the righteous work he performed still resonates in the minds, speech, and actions of Black People who honestly value the ground work he left for us to build on. Let's study his work and mistakes for the purpose of not repeating them. Let's boldly move forward ever backwards never.

    I have a question regarding the indigenous Indians. Our family did our genology records research in 2008 and found out we're Choctaw so where did the indigenous Indians fit in during this time? I always knew about the indian heritage, but in k-12 and college the teacher told me my family were slaves from Africa via slave ship. Now its true, the Indians in our family were enslaved by Europeans...but they were here before Europeans arrived. So basically the Europeans enslaved the Indigenous indians and also brought slaves on a ship from Africa too?

      You still unfortunately are calling all dark-skinned people africans. Chief Powhatan the leader of the land called Virginia at that time what's a dark-skinned Indian. He had over 100 wives according to the English and John Smith described him as being play Black man. Look that up. So you're still pushing a white narrative that the white man bought the black man here on a boat so they still have you a little bit brainwashed. but it's a pretty good video I enjoyed it. However you still have some studying to do

    • @TheYarbros
      @TheYarbros  หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      They ran parallel to black folk for a while. In 1664 a law passed calling all black and indigenous people the same. Then in 1681 it became illegal to enslave an Indian.
      There were large confederations of indigenous people all over America and they were attacking the Spanish, Dutch and English. Pocahontas married one of the Englishmen in those early days. As the 17th and 18th centuries came and black codes progressed the Europeans also created Indian Codes and they treated them horribly as well....all leading up to the trail of tears.
