@DimensionIII I don't know what happened that I decided to pick on you for it. It's the hundreds of others before you that got me fired up but you seem open minded and willing to learn. For the record it's purists. Thanks for your video.
It sounds horrific because you are playing it in a different key to the backing track. The first chord of the backing track is Dm7, so your starting note should be an A. Instead, you have started on an E, which would work if the backing track started on Am7. You played the entire opening eight bars or so a 4th below. Gary started on 3rd string 14th fret (A). I can't see on my phone screen but if you've used Moore's original left hand fingering pattern, you must have started on 3rd string 9th fret (E) with subsequent notes the same distance below the original. At the end of the intro, Moore bends from G to A over Am, whereas you finished on E so you're playing the fifth of the chord rather than the root.
@MunchyToy well thank you for that fine forensic analysis. I was playing in Am which is what the song is written in. I wasn't trying to play the exact notes Gary Moore did, thus as it says, "just warming up Gary Moore Purists don't hate on me." Thanks for your input.
@fus149hammer5 it is rather funny when you see some peoples comments. Apparently, even though I wrote just warming up, (meaning getting my fingers loosened up) someone had to blast me Cause I played it a fifth up.
Very nice, I can't play like that when I have warmed up :)
Very good.
@@leidianemattos4901 Thank you!
Очень хорошо мистер!
Мне нравится Ваша игра, желаю Вам творческих успехов!
@eldiyar.azizbek I wish I could translate your comment, I will just Thank you for tuning into my channel.
I wont criticize your playing but I'm always surprised at how many TH-camrs can't spell in their thumbnails. 😂
@Monyornothin I'm a guitar player not an English major. 👍

@@Monyornothin for the record, I'm no Gary Moore either. 😉

The beginning is out of key. You start playing in key at 32 seconds.
@saltheel5831 yes so I've been told. As I titled it just warming up.... guess no one got that
Don't worry you can obviously play much better than most people it's just that Gary set the bar so impossibly high.😊🫡
