    Great commentary, honestly. This was very well done. The commentary and visuals were on point. It looks and feels like a legitimate sporting event. John is a beast fyi

    I competed against Hansen once at a sub spectrum tournament. I could tell he was not even trying. I was going 100% and could no do a thing to him. It was very humbling.

    John just did a seminar at our gym today. When I say I’ve never trained with a grappler of his caliber ever in my life, I mean it. I’ve been doing jiu-jitsu for 11 years and he rolled with me like I was an egg he was trying not to break😂 amazing competitor

      @@saninmw3 Hansen wasn't attacking anything from about 3:30 onwards but jack and shit... and jack left town.
      You have a very jaundiced view of what 'attacking' is - sitting on your ass looking for grips? GOOD!
      Smart entries, guard passing, back control, digging for hooks and an RNC finish? BAD!

    Match was terrible. Hansen is a high level grappler and he still doesn’t know how to wrestle? Can’t stand modern day Jiu-Jitsu.

    White belt mistake. He peeled the hook when he should have respected the choke.

      😂 no. What belt are you?

    • @drock00013
      @drock00013 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What do you think hooks are for? They stop the rotation. They arent just there for points. Rotation is how you escape. Its simple biomechanics. If you reach up to defend the choke that gives them free reign to get their hooks and stop your rotation to easily finish you. Clearing the hooks allows rotation. Its alot harder to finish rnc without hooks.

    I still don’t understand why we haven’t added wrestling Stalling rules to these matches. Watch the first two minutes, Nikki has a literally shoved and ran away 18 to 20 times. We can’t let people shove and run backwards constantly and then they explosively pull off one move for the win.

      Could you explain those rules?

    • @JG-uw3ch
      @JG-uw3ch ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@happymeal918 they probably aren’t perfect for BJJ, but basically you get a couple of warnings and then the other opponent gets a point for each further stall.
      Rod constantly stays on the very far edge of the mat so when someone shoots it’s always out of bounds. I would also like to have points for a force out when a competitor is constantly backing away.

    Is this wrestling or jiu jitsu????????? I'm confused with adcc now. Just wrestle and sit tight and you'll win. No jiu jitsu needed for jiu jitsu tournaments apparently.

    • @artunsaday6391
      @artunsaday6391 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      this is submission grappling, not jj lol.

    • @PsychologyStud
      @PsychologyStud ปีที่แล้ว

      The tournament is submission fighting, not jiu jitsu. Also, BJJ incorporates wrestling so wrestling techniques are also technically bjj.

    • @PsychologyStud
      @PsychologyStud ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Also, the win was achieved with a submission, not just sitting tight.
