The last couple of weeks have been the biggest reality check for Ineos that I’ve seen!
How was it a reality check for INEOS? They knew what they were getting themselves into. Sir Jim and Ten Hag have both publicly commented on player’s contracts needing to run out so they can really start to enact their real long term vision.

We are winning the transfer window alright because these greedy clubs are learning the hard way that United won't pay extortionate prices..and we won't accept low ball prices for top players.. Ineos have got it spot on..the cycle is broken and United will be far stronger in future negotiations.

if i had to choose given the looming season-start, i'd get rid of the deadwoods than signing new players. mctominay eriksen lindelof sancho. on awb maguire and either eriksen/casemiro, ideally also moved on but keep them if we cant sign another fb cb and mf this season. but start getting rid of them deadwoods now. i dont care about those fringe players like pellistri, majbri, etc. they're sort of outcasts anyway.

The biggest problem is that Man Utd is one of the biggest clubs by name but not one of the biggest in structure and method. I hope we're building that. The club needs to create strong relationships with other clubs to facilitate transfers, create a more solid recruitment network and that takes more time. That's why Man Utd can't get fair prices, past incompetence and a lack of solid connections.
We all understand that you want to share all the info but we all know that not selling any players no signing at all.

I’m now convinced that a growing contingent of United "fans" would rather see the club in perpetual chaos and failure rather than see the club succeed. Commented about a month ago that none of the players will leave, and the best we can hope for is Mctominay, Maguire, Lindelof, AWB, Eriksen all leave at the end of summer as free agents. Ineos impact will only happen once these players leave the club and free up both wage structure and squad registration. Another season in the bin, I just hope the fans and board has the same expectation, and ETH is here for the long term

Like it or not, the massive contracts combined with these psr rules would balls any club up. It's not like years ago where fergie or clough could scare a player by saying "its time to move on son". They all have agents now and know where the courts are. Its f-ing frustrating, but the only way is pay up or wait out the contracts. These plus ones years cost also- the player's entitled to a big pay off too.

I would be happy if AWB stayed. He hardly ever gets injured, always gets the job done, regardless of whether it is Mitoma, Martinelli, Gordon or others. I would feel much safer with him than signing someone who is reportedly "better going forward" which is after all not a guarantee. Also I don't think his forward link up is as bad as people make it either. Yes maybe he has a very unconventional way of crossing or moving but I see him overlapping and being an extra body than most of our full backs.

Man Utd could easily sell players but the fees wanted for some of them are questionable especially as half of the fan base have been criticising those players last 2-3 years. Also remember the more stupid the contact the player is on the bigger the percentage decrease on the players valuation. In terms of De Ligt he failed at Juve personally and Bayern are happy to sell and some Man Utd fans are creaming themselves as him being the answer to close the gap with City and Arsenal. Ineos has to contend with changing the perception of the club. If they stay the course, we're talking about 4-5 years before the squad is competitive again.
You DO have to be patient, and you still would have had to be patient even IF the full sale had happened. United doesn't have a god given right to anything. A rebuild, detangling past deals takes more than one window and no matter you are still moving forward... I think in some ways these hurdles will make you stronger too both as an organization and from a team backbone POV and if fans want better communication which I agree with too then demand it.

I feel it's a the personal terms (wages) we give the players while signing. It makes it difficult for the clubs we want to sell to and the players are often reluctant to take a pay cut when they need to be moved on.
