My problem with the stormtroopers is that the newer helmets are huge they look absolutely ridiculous. No sense in dual molding the helmet considering how the previous 2014 to 2018 model of Lego stormtrooper minifigure helmet was absolute perfection.
You could never do that with any of the stormtrooper helmets. At least my old 2001 stormtrooper can't turn it's helmet. But the new one allows for less turning than before without lifting it from the stud. But even so... I like it a lot. I made them more accurate by adding a white horizontal sticker line to make the eyes less big, and bow they look exactly like the real helmets. If only it were this easy to fix my issues with the clone helmets.
@@Makocat maybe not on that one but you can move it on the 2012 and 2014 ones I mostly don't like how far down the front helmet go's and in MY opinion it looks more like the trooper out if rebels than out of a new hope
It's a time thing man, give it a couple years and we'll be begging for clones again, being over loaded by first order, sequel trilogy 10th anniversary stuff.
Also, The Grand Army of the Republic had the best vehicles, even practically believe it or not. The AT-TE was much better functionally than the AT-AT. The republic has the ARC-170, V-19, ATTE, ATOT, UTAT, ATAP, Gunships, Dropships, and all the others. They're just straight up cooler, and thats just what happens when the Prequels are made after the OT. Needless to say, I have been stocking up on a lot of those newer storm troopers on the secondary market. I get why people don't like the Family Guy helmets, but since I mainly had the storm troopers from the 20th anniversary battle pack recreation, it's the one I've decided to base my army around. I would love a Shoretrooper Battle pack, as it's the one kind of storm trooper that I love that I don't have.
Personally I don't like waste caps for most troops, I don't mind having waste capes if there are printed ones underneath tho. For me tho I'm just happy it's printed instead personally. Also I agree about needing consistency with figure designs.

I was lucky to get my hand on over 20 magazines with stormtroooer polybags back during the pandemic when those were still being sold in my country. Sadly the newer polybags aren't being sold so I missed out on the ones that came out from the 501st polybag onward. But having 28 dual molded stormtroopers in my collection currently has been great. Hopefully they do a battlepack with the new white hip stormtroopers. We all deserve to have armies... droids are getting a bit of love lately in battlepacks. I'm missing CIS vehicles now. It's just never gonna be enough supply for the kinda demand we have for certain minifigures unless it's clones cause let's face it. They are the most popular right now.
HI YEAH I 100% agree! lego has 3 chances minimum for a storm trooper army builder! Here’s my suggestion , night trooper battle pack,a rix road battle pack, and a Tantis defence bp. There’s also a few more options for Lego to make set wise, an imperial gunship based of ahsoka! And also a tie reaper.
@@Melac_6 i honestly felt like they got in the way. Sure, they made the mini figure look nicer, but it wasn’t worth it since it made it a little more annoying to play with the figure as a kid
In regards to design changes, I believe that the Rogue One helmet will always be the best, however I think the newer one isn’t bad especially in person (I think the shape is more exaggerated in pictures). It’s pretty clear Lego isn’t going back to the old mold so it makes sense to start loving the new one. Regarding waistcapes, I think snowtroopers look fine without them because 1. The waistcape is the same color as the rest of the figure and 2. We don’t see snowtroopers as often as we do clones. It’s normalized to see clones with waist capes since they appear in media more, but I don’t come across snow troopers nearly as much so it doesn’t bother me as much as the clones do. And I do hope we get some sort of Stormtrooper battle pack soon, because I would love to make OT-based MOCs. Also, Lego please bring back the shoretrooper 🙏

It doesn’t make sense why clones are more loved than stormtroopers as stormtroopers were literally the most recognizable trooper as if you saw a clone or any star wars trooper and you haven’t watched starwars you would believe they were stormtroopers right? They are literally the starwars trooper posterboy and yet clones are still more liked then them?!
@@Ementhe Very good comment, and this is something I used to wonder about as well, but I believe the answer becomes very clear if you watch how clones are portrayed in The Clone Wars versus Star Wars Rebels, clones are portrayed as unique human beings with good intentions, while stormtroopers are simply evil canon fodder, at least in most media. Some sources get them right like in Rogue One, Andor, and Solo.
@@Ementhe To be fair, Disney gave stormtroopers more credibility than Lucas ever did in the films, they've always been that way in popular star wars media, way I see it at least Disney did a few things right by portraying then well in some shows/movies

Why do we need to army build? It's so pointless. Im so tired of hearing people whine about cool sets only because it had a officer in them. Waist capes and overpriced sets are the actual problems now. Lego is cheap.
1) Kids would probably like more army builder figures than named figures, and want to recreate scenes that have a lot of stormtroopers or other figures. 2) I agree some sets are just too much money, I like officers but not when they take the spot of troopers, imo there should've been 2 stormtroopers with the star destroyer instead of 1, at no cost to the existing figure selection 3) I agree with the last problems you said 100%

The problem with clones having printed waist capes is that the print is only on the front. Sideprinting is to be desired or dualmolded legs
