This made me cry really hard. One of the hardest wars any person not in a physical war between peoples is fighting with yourself and the world around you. I've felt a the emotions before. As a little girl, like everyone, I was naive. Over time, a darkness took over my life. A man of great evil took my sweet childhood and turned it into a nightmare, a living hell. Every time there is someone I can't protect who falls, every time someone fights me. I have no feelings. I have no heart and cannot empathize with anyone. That's what they say. Long ago, I shut my emotions away to hide just how broken I was. Now, I dont hide but I dont show either. I've fought myself for so long in a never ending war. I've seen what war does to people. An internal war, war between people. I lived in a warzone. One that used to be soul fought on where blood was shed. Now, instead of weapons and death, there are so many broken memories. Every time I think about that house, it's like I'm standing back in that cold room... a scared little girl listening to the man who married her mother yell at her, fearing him coming into the room. My war was never fought with guns but it was fought with weapons. Every feeling the people around me have. Every heartbeat of their chests. Every laugh, every year, every pain their heart holds... I feel them all. Since a newborn, I have been mentally abused, manipulated.. mind so many times mended just to be broken again by another man walking in and taking something from me. Every war fought has these feelings whether on a battlefront of weapons with soldiers falling everywhere to protect what they believe or a battle against yourself. There are always tears and feelings we wish we didn't have. But dont ever wish your feelings away. Because the moment you learn how to not use them or let them out, you become like me. Just a scared, lonely person unable to speak how they truly feel when it comes down to it. Feeling so many emotions you must hide day in day out. Like I said, this asmv made me cry really hard.
