Lately I even cut the blister through using exacto knife over the coint battery to get it out ;P Din't find a faster way

Tip: You can use the corner of the cover as a tool to pry out the dead battery. Also with a bit of force you can remove the cover by hand.

If you do not have a CR2025 battery, the key's battery compartment has sufficient tolerance to hold a CR2032 battery. Win-Win situation. The CR2032 battery has a higher capacity and so will last longer before the next required replacement.
Oooh i saw it on the shop(2032) but i didnt took it because I thought it wont fit inside...

Hello there, I'm looking for the type of screwdriver that will open the key. That small metal screw under the battery. Do you have idea what it is?
There was a CR2025 inside but a CR2032 battery also fits

How do you clear the message on the display of the car, afther key battery change??
Thanks, though my Scala key had a Panasonic CR2032 in it from the factory. Maybe because its keyless entry and start they put the higher capacity battery in? Otherwise identical to this though. Thanks
My Rapid from 2017 had the same CR 2032 Panasonic battery. Also a Ford Transit Connect had the same Panasonic battery. Maybe depend on the region with which type of battery cars are factory equipped. Romanian here.
Are you happy with Scala? This will be the next company car, after Skoda Rapid. Could you tell 1-2 strong points and 1-2 weakness?

Thx for the video! I changed the battery, but the error message "Change the key battery" is not disappeared from the screen, even the "Car status display " continue to show this error message. How to confirm the battery is changed yet?

@@JRCarReviews Thank you for the quick answer. I just changed the battery also to an Energizer. After the first drive the error message rests on the screen. May it be that takes time to recognize the battery change? For example after the 2nd 3rd usage of the car?

Pozdrav, u zadnjih 2 mjeseca promjenio sam 4 baterije, probao sam sa panasonic, Duracell, Varta, sve 2025 i za nekih desetak dana mi javlja da je baterija pri kraju, da ju promjenim. Neznam u čemu je problem, nitko mi do sada nije znao reći, znaš li ti možda? Hvala unaprijed
Mario Karabelj možda nešto nije uredu sa pločom ako guta bateriju, jer je namijenjeno da radi koju godinu na jednoj bateriji. Put u servis po novi ključ. Ako je u garanciji nema troškova, ako nije, možda lokalni bravar može naručit jeftinije. Sretno!

Poslao sam mail sa upitom direkt u skodu.hr pa cekam da se jave povratno. I jos samo jedna stvar, dobio sam info da je baterija u kljucu punjiva a ne obicna, jel to moguce?

Evidentně neví, že po vyndání staré by měl aspoň 10s držet jedno z tlačítek, aby došlo k totálnímu vybití klíče. Protože pokud to neudělá, tak klíč bude hlásit vybitou baterií (ikdyž v klíči bude nová)....
You can use a 2032 as well which lasts longer than a 2025.
If you replace and it's not working, check for a baby-safe sticker on the bottom of the battery, and remove it (of course). Just fell for this 😬

What about thicknesses? "The 2032 is 3.2mm thick while the 2025 is 2.5mm thick."
It's a squeeze but no problem
@@palhod I replaced the battery with a 2032 Duracell and it was too thick to get past the small plastic clip that holds the battery in place, however the cover on the key fob does the trick and it seems to be working fine

Battery should last longer than 18 months, both my keyfobs have battery warning around 12 months.
My car 3 years 8 months and just changed battery, in both keys, strangely enough, one is brand new and hasn't be used, just kept as a stand-by. Perhaps battery deteriorates even though it is not being used.
@@davidjfraser my car is just over 18 months old and now also the car battery itself has failed and is stuck in dealership why they do a warranty claim. They are replacing the key fob batteries also out of courtesy.

Mine didn't fit under the small plastic holder, so I just press harder on the plastic case and all good. 2032 is a few millimetres thicker than the original 2025. I read that 2032 is more powerful and will last longer. Good luck

Attention, for reset the Key you have to take a Button for more than 3 seconds, After outputting the old Batterie and bevor putting the new one in 🤦🏽♂️
No, you dont have to reset anything, Just replaces the battery and it works

The fact that you need to change the battery pisses me off. Had Toyota for 12 years, never once changed. Brand new Superb, ans changing the battery after 2 years. Skoda is junk, just don't do it
