  • This video presents how to perform a temperature calibration with a Curie reference substance on a TGA. The curie transition can be used to calibrate or adjust the temperature of dedicated TGA analyzers.
    The video concentrates on the following key points:

    The principle behind the curie temperature calibration is that at a certain temperature, the curie reference material loses its magnetic properties. This causes a sharp change in the weight measurement, which can be used as the calibration temperature. Up to 4 curie standards can be used simultaneously across the wide temperature range of the TGA.
