Winter Spanish Mackerel Kayak Fishing Sawtell, Coffs NSW

This session I am in Coffs Harbour, NSW - The plan was to look for snapper given that its winter and they are catching a few - however trolling a Halco RMG on the way out to the reef at Sawtell proved to be a good decision as this fat 14kg Spanish mackerel hit the lure running hard giving my new Shimano TLD 15 its first work out.
First spanish for the season for me and its winter ! go figure .. hope you enjoy the action..this fish really is the chicken of the sea ..so tasty and even better dished up Japanese Cuisine style
